Suspended for IP in another country
 

I set up an ebay acct and it was shut down the immediately after I posted the first item. I had a an existing buyer acct for 2yrs ago and matching U.S. address and it was a verified acct.

I am now living overseas but want to continue to sell but everytime I try to open an account they suspend it. I think its because my Ip in no longer in U.S. but my other info is.

I have not been able to sell 1 thing. I want to make some money before xmas.

How can I get my ebay account up long enough to sell?

Welcome to the forum.

You will not be able to make money for this xmas if you live in Turkey and try to pretend to be selling in the USA.

It takes a lot of work to make an overseas account and get it working.:typing:

those days are over, when you could just use any ip.....has to correspond now...some closeby countries can get away with it, but it depends on the country. Turkey to USA - no way

if you open an acc with turkish data perhaps you will manage to sell a couple of items before the xmas.

As GB said, it requires a bit of work and time to get up and running again.

You should go on the live chat and speak to them - you need to get them to tell you to send in your verification documents.

Providing documents is the only solution (I have found) to keeping an account when you have differences in eb ay address and corresponding IP address.

Every single stealth account I have has had to go through this extra step of being closed and then reinstated.

Some of my accounts I have been told by e bay to change the address to China, not the UK. Others are still based in the UK. I don't know what is the criteria for being asked to make the change yet.

I just dont understand. Ebay is international. I am an American. I have a business and all my banking info etc in the U.S. I just started living abroad. Why does it matter where I live?

I think the problem here is that they are seeing an Ip from another country and assuming that someone is using my information without permission.

The best part about making money online is that your not tied to a particular location day after day and have the freedom to move around.

What do you mean by correlating Ip? Does that mean the Ip has to be only in the U.S. or the exact city the account was set up in?

I though the whole point of stealth is not having to got throught the faxing in info process and what do these people do that have multiple accounts?

IP is very important for eb/pp with regards to country match.

You are being naive, very naive or winding us up. Can you go and live anywhere in the world without having required immigration conditions meet? Hardly. ebay has similar rulings.

Yes, ebay is international. It has created different empires for each country.
It does not allow or like your claim of having freedom to move around making money. Such activities would be too difficult for ebay to monitor. Most of all they want to protect themselves from fraudulent acts.

ebay lays out terms and conditions for anywhere. That's their way. Find out how to work with it or dont use ebay:ranger:

but if so, contact ebay and paypal, give them all you US and turkey details, tell them you have an office in US and one in turkey and you run the business from there, if you are all legit to them and they look at your papers, then they may take the flags off your IP.....see it from their point of view, you need to prove you are not a risk

whole point of stealth is not faxing info? where did you get that idea...you just fax stealth info...

Get a friend of yours in the US and do remote log-in into his comp for US IP is one idea.

I live 10 minutes away from the US (Mexico), what do you think it'll happen if I get a seller account with all US info like VCC and stuff? I just don't want to get a VPN or something being so close!!
