Default Ebay selling from Hongkong

Hallo experts,
first i like to tell you, i am a German, so please sorry for my poor english.
For more then 10 years i do business at the german Ebay, all works well. My German company use also Paypal and never get a real problem with it.
2 Years ago a married a chinese woman and live part time in China and Hongkong the other time in Germany.
Some mounth ago we think about, what can we do from here and we decidet, to sell goods made in China to German customers from Hongkong.
For this reason i opend last week a Hongkong Ltd. and now i am ready to to start.
But what i read here make me a little scared.
We like to start with at least 500 selling per mounth with a turnaround of Euro 10.000 (8.500 brtish pound).
First, it seams to be a selling limit for new Ebay-user and when i open a Ebay account with my company i will be a new user.
Second, i worry about, i can not transfer the money, received with my Paypal account to my bank account.

Maybe more or other problems will occour?

Any suggest or help here?

1st - Yeh, you will probably be stuck with a limit of 10 or 100 items per month!

2nd - Which bank account will you use? German or HK? I have been unsuccessful in getting Chinese banks to link to PayPal. I understand it is possible though.

Also the set up is different with Chinese accounts - there is no free withdrawal as far as I know.

Any more problems? Hahaha yeh, definitely! Expect lots of them

The genuine Chinese accounts I have set up have never worked - I have a Chinese ebay and Chinese PayPal (real, using my Chinese address) and they won't link together so I can't use them to sell! I have spoken to pretty much every single person in the live chat and sent many many emails - and got replies promising to refer me to the "special team" but nothing ever comes of it...

Good luck though - maybe report back what you find when you try to set things up.

Hi FizzyFish,
thanks for you answer.
I will use my HSBC company bank account opened in Hongkong.
Maybe it is better to buy a Hongkong Ebay and Paypal Account that longer exists?

No problem.

HSBC is one that I have not tried yet...I hope it works out for you. I think there are different ways of verifying foreign accounts apart from the regular old micro deposit method, which is the one I can never get to work.

If it does work for you please let me know and I will get another (4 and counting) Chinese bank account just for PayPal.

I would love to have a legit account again - but not for the life of me can I get an account working here.

I guess buying an account is a possibility - but I would like to understand how the system works so if all fails I can make another one and not have to buy it...

Anyway - good luck!! Oh and happy new year
