Unfortunately I have no sympathy with chinese ebay sellers as they wreck our market by selling the product some times for as much as I buy it for with free shipping.

So for me I hope that ebay keeps the chinese in their own market area and not ours, amazon does that to keep the integrity of the market.

There are many such countries are limited, but that limit will gradually be eliminated, be patient. Good luck

Yeh! Bloody Chinese sellers wrecking markets. I mean how DARE they make 75% of the products in your home and support your economy by doing so.

I think that there should be an immediate trade embargo between the US and China... right!?

Find another product, move on...quit yer belly aching!

And back to the question in hand...If you want more than 5 then consider setting up in another country first. Make sure you have some documentation available to support your account. 1. Make act 2.Get suspended (cos of your ip) 3.Send docs 4.Bingo!

Many asian countries have 5 items limit for the first 3 months. The best you can do is be a good seller. I've had an account automatically have its limits lifted to 100 after receiving only 5 positive feedbacks in the 1st month. Other new accounts are still limited to 5.

Please note that in recent times, some UK accounts are getting 5 too, and US accounts are getting 10 as the norm now.
With luck, they sometimes get higher limits.

@ OP
List 5-items and give a call to eBay hongkong and you should be fine. Don't bother calling eBay China because they will tell you to send an email to eBay hongkong which is a long wait again. Therefore, just give eBay HK a call and they'll upgrade your limit once you answer a few detailed questions from them. I don't think you'll get big limits. But they'll increase you from 5 to 7 ( you'll have to wait 30-days again to call ). Then they'll upgrade you to 12, then 25, then 60, then 120, then 180. Thats the patern which follows but be patient and learn the tricks from Aspkin!

I've experienced that as well. Sometimes it gives you to list 1 item, sometimes 5 to 10 in a month. If one day you have your limit rise, I suggest you do not list them all. For example, if you can only list 5 items and next day you find out you can sell more. Just list one more, do not attempt to list them as many as they give you cause you will find that you may get selling limit again after you list 2, 3 more.

I think it also depends on the category you are' selling. Electronics and computer staff is considered as high risk.
