ebay.de access with US account
 

I understand that registering on ebay.de is a process and a half from what ive seen from posts on the forum. If i use 1 of my established US stealth accounts that has good feedback and then change my address to a german address and list on ebay.de do you guys think thats the best way to go vs. trying to start a german stealth account by registering on ebay.de?

Also once you change my address to a german address would you recommend using a VPS so that my ip will show up as a german ip

I'm using UK eb acc to list on eB US.
It just require us to accept cross border selling terms.

PayPal requires that you close your existing account and re-open a new one in the other country. They don't allow you to simply switch your account's registered country, apparently due to legal constraints and financial regulations.

You could just open a new account without closing the old one, but that's technically against PayPal's Terms of Service. Each person is only permitted to have one personal and one business account.

Your eBay account can be switched over to another country easily, no problem.

so if i just switched my ebay account over to a german address and left my paypal exactly how it is(us account). i should still be able to receive payments fine?

You create your eb . com account and start sales on other platforms - its simple. e.g. I create my account on eb. ca and then go on to eb. com - login and sell

I would not recommend doing this process especially for stealth accounts......

Just open a German ebay/paypal and as rsot mentioned you can list on ebay.com from ebay.de

The whole reason for this post is so i dont have to do this. when registering for ebay germany they require you to provide them with some type of id verification which i cannot provide of course because it is a stealth account.

i think whatever happens you can sell on eby.de whenever you want . but you must have 10 feedbck

but isn't it that when you go sell on ebay.de they ask you to add a german bank account to pay ebay fees? i remembered this way.

and to register a german stealth, they don't ask for id or something, but they will send you a letter with code to your registered address, you type in this code to confirm your location - then you are registered. this makes stealth difficult, as most of us do not have access to german address, i mean if you have friends over there you can have the letter sent to a p o box or something and then let them get the code for you....


can somebody confirm this is still the case?

and anybody can share if they have successfully created german stealth?

It's simple, but after some months it won't be simple to receive the additional 20% eB Final Discount fee when making sales. You register on eB US/CA and sale on eB DE, then receive an eB Genuine (DE's Top-Rated Plus badge) but still won't receive any 20% discounts on the fees (with DE customers) because the account registration was made using .COM / .CA. This is something that I'm specially looking for.

You mean the "Account Registration Address" that can be switched but no info about "Account Registration Site" to be switched … in the selling limits to be switched from USD to EUR or GBP for example, and to receive the 20% FVF on sales with Germans or British.

Here Greenie said that it's risky and a gamble to change the Registration Address (from my current one to Gibraltar, HK or so) from one country to another, might receive a direct suspension. You're saying here that you've made a switch to another country easily without a problem, so who is telling the truth?

Also I've called the US support again and they said that they can't switch my site-registration from one to another. It's unexpected because on my last call in the Mid of Dec the woman-rep said that she can switch to any European country that I want, incl. Germany. And this guy now is telling me completely other things - can't switch site registration, can't switch address country registration, can't switch selling limits from $ to €. …
