Paypal Limits for International Accounts

In the US you have the 200 items / $20,000 year limit. Paypal will ask you for your SS or Tax ID.

What happens with Paypal Accounts from other countries? In Europe I know they also have limits...but what about Southamerica? I now have accounts there but since my selling is still small, I.m afraid I will also get the 200/$20,000 limit at some point.

It totally depends on what the reporting requirements (or other legal requirements) are in those countries. Some have them and some do not. Look at the Seller Help section on PayPal - it should have that information.

Dont forget there are tax limits and anti-money laundering requirements.

They are different issues.

UK has a £1900 anti-money laundering limit. Selling accounts can have limits as to the amounts being sold.

As it is an EU money laundering limit (£1900), it is safe to assume that Paypal in all EU countries will have such a limit. I believe it is 2000 Euro.

Anybody knows what the limit is for Germany? That is my next stealth destination.

Do a heck of a lot of homework before going to Germany.

Possibly one of the hardest countries to sell in.

They will pay above the odds, and they can be very loyal customers, but if something is not to their liking they will let you know in no uncertain terms.

I believe it is 2000 euro, purely based on the the UK equivalent.

Consider selling beach towels and sunbeds. The Germans are prepared to get up early in the morning for these so they must be popular items. ;)
