Moving to the UK....

Hi everyone.

I am moving to the UK from Spain in January. I have read the forum, but not found my specific answer...

I have a few good stealth accs both eb/pp that I would like to continue to use from England. I will be there for a while, but would like to setup everything ready to go, so i can sell right away when i move.

I spoke on ebay Chat about this issue and they said, when it get limited, call them, and then they will add the IP to "authorised" and it wont get limited again..

I would actually like to keep the same spanish banks attatched if its possible.., as I will still be able to access them online etc

Id prefer not to use any VPN or VPS service if possible (last resort),

I just dont want my established accs to get banned... and it wouldnt be nice if i had to start all over again...

All opinions welcome. Thank you! :welcome;

Re: Moving to the UK....

You will need Spain IP so...VPS or remote access program if you can.

The only other option is to change address to UK BUT it is very risky since PP could ask for documents...you will need that IP ...time to explore VPS.

Re: Moving to the UK....

if you do not want to buy a good spain ip then you could go for the procedure ebay mentioned. it is just a question of them 'whitelisting' your ip, due to the country change.

keep the bank accounts and keep it ebay spain if you prefer, just tell them you are 6 months in each country and your Uk ip should be allowed.

I think the above is the only way, if you say you are in Uk full-time then they might say you cannot have your ebay spain account/bank anymore and require you to re-sign up....

better to keep your options open and not give them reason to say no to you...as for returns addresses and buying address, complicated but doable...just think it through yourself as you go along, do not involve them....

Re: Moving to the UK....

I really am not a fan of whaT eB agents say about these big SYSTEM issues...but I guess if that's your decision. Personally, I would like to have that IN WRITING before I process - tell them to e-mail you the directions. Then you have proof that Agent001 said this so you followed...

ebay chat lie.

If this is not in writing, it would be use at your own risk.

Is this a permanent return?

There is another option.

Your parents are the key.

What is your monthly usage regarding ebay?

Re: Moving to the UK....

IF your parents are in Spain...you could look into remote access for the Spain IP...takes a bit of coordination with the parents.

Re: Moving to the UK....

well, ye remote access would be possible, but slow, unreliable, and i cant really use that, to access and run all my accounts... :S, what about what oompaloompa said?

Re: Moving to the UK....

josh,

I will ask AGAIN.

What is your monthly ebay usage?

Forget remote access. You do not want your parents involved in your business.

Re: Moving to the UK....

sorry for late reply..., monthly usage?? I use it everyday, and sell on this acc, selling high prices items, one every 5days, or every 3 days...

Thanks
