Hey guys,

Need a little advice please

I had my business (legit) eBay account suspended today for a "linked account" No fault of my own; My web developer who created my eBay shop logged on using a Chinese VPN when he was designing the template, eBay automatically banned the account before even a single item was listed on it. I set up a new account, same business details and it worked fine for around 9 months; until today! The account has now been banned due to a linked account. I have spent the best part of 4 hours on the phone to eBay at their Philippines call centre. They pretty much told me the account is banned for life and there is nothing that I can do about it? Very very unfair I think as I literally haven't done anything wrong. 100% positive feedback etc

What are my options? eBay accounts for around 65% of my business revenue. Everything is legit yet it seems that the ban is final and there is nothing that I can do about it.

Would really appreciate some insight as to what I can do to get back up and running on eBay. Will they proceed to put a ban on my PayPal account as I use this as a merchant payment on my website! I am very stressed out and concerned about the matter!

Another example of eBay being totally unflexible and the reason that so many people have been unfairly banned.

PayPal can often stay up even when the eBay account goes down.

The very best thing to do is get a copy of the stealth guide and really read it from top to bottom

That's ebay for you. Best to start rebuilding.

We've been where you are at.. Arm yourself with knowledge and make several stealth accounts. 5 accounts to start with should do it.

The issue I foresee is with Paypal; they require proof of Id and address to enable the account to receive more than £1900 in payments, how would I get around this? My old paypal account is still active, it's just the ebay account that is banned..

In order to complete the paypal verification, if I was to use a scan of my driving licence that I used with the active paypal account, would that get flagged; resulting in a ban again?

What are the options here?

Having a sleepless night because of this!!!

The accounts are registered, limited company accounts. Without ebay/paypal the business will go under. You can see my frustration and concerns here

After spending most of the day reading up on stealth accounts I have another question.

Would using Christopher instead of Chris be enough to avoid detection via a linked account and would using my real date of birth be an issue as I will need this for paypal identity verification ?

I would advise against it.

Same first name (even if a nickname), same surname and same DOB is going to be a unique link.

My suggestion is to go ALL different everything. Just get creative and make sure everything is different. Spread the risk and read a lot.
I remember the day when I lost my legit account for beind .4% over DSR. I was so worried and I didn't sleep that night.
Now 2 months later I have few stealths going, few aging and I'm trying to recover the cashflow that I had prior to the banning.

It's all possible if you invest a bit of money into it, read and ask stupid questions and then go for it, hardcore.
