EU receiving limit no longer an issue?
 

I remember up until recently when creating a new account in any EU country there was a limit of something like 2500 EUR you could receive in a year before you needed to verify your account with an ID scan and utility bill. However, I have recently looked and i dont find such requirements anywhere in my EU accounts. Has this policy been cancelled? Or am I in for a big surprise when suddenly I reach 2501 EUR with no warning.

This is still in place.

It is still there and worse than expected.

They seem to take as an hard limit USD 2500 and not Euro 2500.

Before the Euro big drop they asked me utility bills and so on when account received nearly 2100 Euros.

Yes they would ask you at 2100 as that is similar to the UK - you get a warning at £1650 and a hard limit at £1900
