eBay Merchant setup?

PayPal is toast after all these years
eBay is still good however

I read that in order to use eBay via Merchant - It requires to fax in a statement?
I already have Authorize.net & PowerPay

so do I fax in a statement in of PowerPay?

After it is approved do I need a checkout such as Auctiva?

I have already linked the API to eBay from Authorize.net and it shows active but when listing with the credit card option the following message is displayed:

Attention Sellers:
Attention!
In order to use the credit card option you need to have both a valid Internet Merchant account and a payment gateway in place to secure the transactions. To find out more about this please review the information on the following page: How Payment Gateways Work

At this time the only compatible gateways for use on eBay are Payflow and Authorize.net. If you are ready to setup your payment gateway you will find instruction under “Setting up a payment gateway for your Internet merchant account” on the following page: Selecting Your Payment Preferences

Once you have setup your gateway please contact customer support to make the appropriate adjustments to your account to start accepting credit cards.

For complete list of approved gateway companies go to the Gateway Signup Page

Re: eBay Merchant setup?

Hi bud

Contact Powerpay and get your VERA sheets from them. Just tell them you need it for Authorize.net

Then contact Authorize.net and tell them you have a different processor or whatever and would like to link that to Authorize.net after they do that they will test and see if everything works. Tell you yah or nay.

Then go back to Authorize.net website get your merchant account and the other number that is generated for you.

Go to ebay and put that information into ebay where your merchant account settings are.

Let me know if you need any other info think that oughta work thats how I did it. [emoji4]

Re: eBay Merchant setup?

PowerPay / Authorize is already linked (We use it for a website outside of the eBay world and API is already linked on eBay (have tested transaction)

so Authorize.net has the info that needs to be faxed to eBay?

now what info to write on the statement - phone number & ebay user?

Re: eBay Merchant setup?

Did you have to fax or call it in after adding the API?
