Got suspended last month on eBay ( for selling a $1000.00 item outside of eBay) after 17 years and selling $2.5M on my lifetime
Paid $3500.00 in fees with Paypal on the same day I was suspended
I logged a complaint with Paypal - eBay failed to respond so I got my eBay fees back on month.

That's hard to believe considering the two companies are run in the same building. You got extremely lucky.

Damn! My account of 17 years also was suspended today also! I only started selling a year ago on it though. It pisses me off, and makes me want to replace it with 10 more. F THEM!!!

So, I tested this out. All you can do is claim unauthorized charge and ebay does not repond and then paypal does. Paypal responds with a permanent limitation and to lock you out of your account except for to view details. You get a message that says, "! You can not use PayPal" you can not do anything at that point. You can not open a transaction. You can not go to resolution center. You can not see anything other than your details.

It looks exact like this with a huge red ! encased by a red triangle.

for disputing ebay fees, evidently. Not just limited, but account locked with a message that says:

You cant use PayPal anymore!

when you try to do anything.

Typical ebay and paypal nonsense. Doesn't know what they are doing, so they will punish you for figuring out their stupidity.
