30 Day Limitation restriction for headphones
 

Ive been a member since 2006, but I just started selling. I got a really good deal on ipod headphones. I listed a good amount in a 2 week period. I got the 30 day restriction. I have never heard about anyone getting restricted for such a petty item. I see it alot with designer bags and expensive merchandise, but headphones?!?!?!? Cmon

Hi eBotsSuck, Welcome to the forum.:welcome; Ebay will restrict people for the dumbest things. You should do some reading here and you will be back up and selling your headphones in no time. The best way is to use multiple accounts.

Hey Lakeman, thanks for your quick response. Yea I realized that on the account I made the mistake of listing bunches and bunches of buy it now listings when the whole time I could have been just be using the multiple items option. I didnt do this out of ignorance but I did it to get more visibility and to stand out in the search by the searcher seeing a volume of my listings. Obviously this bit me in the a.s.s So I made another account, now I just have to get it ID verified so I can use all the features. Will they flag my account if I sell too much on this new account?

YES. Now saying you made another account, have you done so with a new IP and absolutely NO links to anything of the old accounts. RIght at the moment, you would be better to wait. Do not risk losing that 2 year old account with an abusing ebay suspension letter.
The term vErO is a little inaccurate. There are many items that ebay considers 'high risk'. If anyone sells such items, they get limited. Ipod headphones are such an item.

No I havent used a different IP. I thought you only had to do that stealthly stuff when you get suspended. I thought more than one ebay account were allowed on 1 ip address. o when I made the new account, I should have forgotten about my old one until the dust settled? (thanx for the help in advance)

You can make another account with the same ID.Provided you can keep both going that will work fine. But you are at a stage where waiting will be better. I just think (too much of) stealth accounts. LOL.

Ebay will let you have another account for the same user, but if one of those accounts get suspended, the other one goes down with it because of IP link. If you make Stealth accounts this does not happen.
