Can you be banned solely off of your IP?
 

I am still relatively new here so please excuse me if this is a dumb question. I don't quite understand if eb will ban a user if their IP address matches with an IP address used by a banned seller considering that many people may have the same ISP. What about people that use free wi-fi (e.g. internet café)?

If someone with a Verizon hotspot is banned and another person (completely unrelated) uses a Verizon hotspot to log onto their eb selling account, isn't there a chance (very small) that their device may be assigned the same IP address as one that was used on the other seller's banned account? Hope this isn't all too hard to understand. I'm a newbie. :help:

IP alone isn't going to do it, but why risk it....just make sure you have a new IP "to you" and build up your cookies.....cookies are super important.
