Default ebay-customer (spy)

Gents

be careful when answering emails from customer pretending to be interested in what you are selling. After I opened a new account 5 days ago I received many mails asking for more details about my products.
Two customer asked some very detailed questions to which I answered as best as I could- the next day I received 2 nice 'alerts' for copyright violations for these listed items.

I learnt my lesson and won't answer customer mails before purchase anymore-but of course will take care about my customer after purchase as I did before.

The whole ebay-organization looks more and more like '1984' (George Orwell)??

Cheers

Andreas

That explains a WHOLE lot about some pretty stupid questions I've been asked in the past. Good looking out!

That would be a good incentive for them to try and eliminate lower starting prices, and consequently make them more money. Clever. Evil, but clever.

I only accept paypal but I'm always getting asked if a buyer can send a cheque / transfer money into my account / send money order. all these require you revealing your real identity. I always say no.

I wonder how many of these 'customers' are actually snooping ebay staffers trying to weed out your real identity
