I sold digital gift card, a ******* report me, Need advice!
 

Hi, I sold digital gift card on Ebay. And I met a ******* with over 700 feedbacks.
He report me and request a refund after 34 days with reason no track id.
I want to ask:
If I refuse refund, he ask Ebay support, Can I win if I show chat log with him?
Do I suspended by Ebay?
If I suspended by Ebay, Do they limit my Paypal account?
Thank you! I will show this buyer's infomation when this case ends. Hope everyone avoid him.

Bringing it up would cause a suspension, and these types of sales will not be in your favour as they are not physical goods.
Best solution is to pray eBay don't take too close of a look, and never sell anything on eBay that isn't delivered physically by a delivery service with tracking information.
PayPal account will most likely will not be limited and there should be no reason why it is.
People will try it, if you can't provide sufficient tracking information.

Sorry, but it's your fault. Maybe familiarising yourself with some of eBay's policies will help prevent this in the future.

Yea its pretty much gone. You got picked from the start.

I would refund and learn an expensive lesson. however, it could save your accounts. I have never had issues with paypal if I accepted the claim. Seems though every time I fight it, even I'm in the right, something happens to account. So is it worth it?

Ebay I am much more apt to fighting and winning.

in theory a chat log should be enough, as it shows the code, but ebay is very funny with digital and it can often not go in your favour - in the end whatever you do, the buyer can say the code did not work, or was already redeemed..........is it worth the risk to lose an account....? how much was it?

This is just the way ebay and paypal are with digital goods. They usually side with the buyer no matter the circumstances. I agree with newjerseymax, when I fight paypal, even if I win, something seems to happen with the account.

For example, I had one account with a claim and won. After 2 months I received an alert that recent activity caused the account to be suspended, even though I had not used it since the case. As there was no recent activity and this was a very strong and old account, I called paypal and talked to a very nice rep. Apparently, the original rep I argued with had a vendetta against my account and suspended it. She was able to reinstate it without any documents as she knew it was a BS suspension.

At the end of the day, ask yourself if the 1 sale is worth all that trouble.

Hi everyone, I refunded to finish this case, yes, this is my expensive lession.
This is 100$ gift card. With Ebay chat logs, I can report him, I think Ebay will suspend two accounts. He lied and me broke the rule.
I have all his real infomation: FB, TW, emails, friend list...I cant believe a 48 years old man can do that. But I stop here, I still have my business.
