Rarest suspension of account
 

Hello everyone,

this is my first post on this site.
I have been selling on ebay since 2012 and on Amazon since 2015.
I have experienced all kinds of bad things, Amazon suspensions, threats from competitors, chargebacks, negative feedbacks. I had my PayPal account permanently restricted in 2014, then I opened a new one after unsuccessful appeal. I had my Amazon account completely banned, then reinstated.
But a very bad thing happened to me recently and I don't think I will be able to have my account reopened.

I had an ebay account with thousands of feedbacks, 400 followers, 0% defects, no policy violations. This time last week I received an e-mail from someone who bought from me years ago. She said that she is going to shut down my ebay account and destroy my business. Sent me a link to a website, where there are posts about bad experience with buyers. She claimed that it's my website and I wrote a comment about her. I have never seen the website before!!! Badbuyerslist or something like this.
On wednesday I received an e-mail from president of ebay telling me that my account is suspended forever for publishing buyer's private information on a third party website. This is unbelievable, how can they close my account like this, absolutely a joke. I have never heard of the site. Now they believe that it's my site.
When I called to ebay they said that they have never seen a suspension like this and only the ebay's president can restore my account. One of my friends had her PayPal permanently restriced a few months ago, after PayPal claimed that she is the owner of a fraudulent site, where she never sold anything.
Is this a new way how to suspend someone's account, to link them to any random site on the internet?

This is definitely an interesting case. Although I doubt the ebay president personally suspended your account, if a high level employee believed this buyer's story, there will be little you can do.

When ebay suspends an account, it is usually difficult to get the suspension removed. This case will probably be even more difficult if somebody higher up believes you published personal information and banned your account. Any low level employee would probably be fearful to remove a limitation placed by their boss.

Your only chance is to keep calling them and speak to ask to speak to a manager or somebody higher up. A normal rep is unhelpful and cannot think outside their 1 page script.

I tried to resolve it, they transferred me on phone to higher account specialists. All of them said that they have never seen anything like this, my account does not have any violation or bad performance. All they can see, is instructions from the office of president of ebay to tell me to read the user agreement and the decision is final.
They were really nice and understanding, they even told me to open a new ebay account with new address, different e-mail, new computer. I don't speak english so much so I do not know everything what they told me. But from the speech, they were themselves very interested to know what happened and were asking me why would anyone do this to me.

I have lots of other ebay accounts and PayPal accounts, now I should probably take care of them, if I do not want to have them suspended as well. The ebay account, which I lost was my biggest hobby, it's just a fraction of what I make on Amazon, but this is different.

And yes, the e-mail was written as if the president wrote it and it was signed with his name. Not on his behalf and not by office of the president. Scary
