My 5 year restricted account works again ?
 

Just got an email from someone at ebay support to help me start selling again. Mind you this particular account has been restriced from selling for about 5 years I had given up ages ago and not logged into the account in at least 3 years. Curious I logged in today and ind that the account now has 2700/$27000 limit. Even more curious I tried to list and item and WTF it went live. My question is is this a fluke in the system to be ignored or are they actually begging sellers that were banned in the mass restrictions to come back now ?

Have heard a couple of people tell this story so far.
If be very cautious using this account and ramp it up very slowly.
Couldn't hurt to try it out - who knows maybe you got lucky.

Sounds legit to me too. Try it out and see how long it lasts. Even if i dies again, at least you got some more use out of it.

I had four accounts that eBay just allowed me to reactivate during the process I asked why they would let me reactivate them after so much time and the Rep (This was a accounts management member because I had been escalated twice) told me that eBay is reevaluating banned sellers in an effort to bring us back to the marketplace.

I do have three other accounts with very high limits on eBay that are linked so I didn't know if that had something to do with it.

One suggestion I have heard is that the Top Rated seller requirements are increasing so eBay need to give less discounts.

I have 2 linked accounts that are still 0/0 per month. now those accounts were never used for selling really. one was my wifes and the other just a variant of the screenname. do you think it wise to contact them about it or just let it ride ?

I have several that got torched back when I started doing stealth, and two have been brought back to life in the past two weeks, they seem to work just fine, but I'm going slowly.

Even better, they offered me a free premium store for 90 days. :)

I received these emails from an eBay rep too. Not only that, he emailed me several times to make sure I got his emails. I checked and tried to list an item, and yep, the accounts are back online.

I don't know how I feel about this. I've been doing fine without those old accounts, if you know what I mean, but they had massive feedback counts so I'm tempted to use them (though not exclusively). Why not?

Hmm... if I were you I'd use them but as a secondary and slowly too... kinda test the waters first.
