I've been eBay'd!
In June I was selling some high priced items, Western Bits and Spurs. I have done this several times a year with no problem. My feed back is over 200 with 1 neg over 4 years. Never had a problem, then all of a sudden eBay cancels my remaining auctions and states I cannot sell anymore until I am varified. I can still buy and have, but I cannot sell. Their letter to me stated that to challenge this and be reinstated I had to provide the following:
Drivers license both sides
Receipts for items I was selling
Copy of credit card bill with first 4 digits, and last 4 digits
Sign a statement saying I have read and agree to sellers terms.
Needless to say I feel like some kind of thief, and they will not tell me why this has been done. I am old school and sending a picture of my drivers license with it's number just seems like a bad idea, and why do they need the first 4 digits of my credit card? Maybe I am paranoid but I feel like I am being set up. Everything I sell is mine honestly obtained. Anybody out there have this happen to them? Should I supply the information or create a new account? Hate to loose my feedback.
