ebay now suspend all the accounts asking for verification?!
In 3 days, 2 of my ebay accounts got suspended. They are one year old with quite some listings and 8 month old with 4 listings of my used old clothes.
I called in, they are asking me to verify public questions - of course not able to pass.
I made a new one today, and again, it's suspended, asking for verification.
It never happened to me before things like that.
Not sure what happened these days?
Anyone has the same issue here? |

I just made 3 yesterday.....nothing so far, will keep an eye on them. |

I've heard of this happening on new accounts when listing for the first time, but not old accounts. Haven't noticed any issues with this myself recently. |

You might be getting linked somehow.
Might be the items youre listing, the item description, the device youre using, the IP solution or any number of other reasons. Hard to tell without a lot more information. |

Your "old" clothes don't happen to be a high brand are they?
Also are you sure that you have followed the stealth guide carefully? Step by step and not deviate from it al all?
I made 10 accounts over the weekend at starbucks Wifi and they are all up and running, selling 10 items each. |

| No brands, just some used cheap stuff.
I think I find the reason. That's because of the virtual phone number. |

I suspect there was something left out in regard to the OP's creation steps or IP access.
Without knowing exactly what the common denominator was, it's going to be a guessing game what caused this.
Please give more information. |

It is the virtual phone number.
Obviously they would suspend those new account within one year time (my other old accounts are fine) to verify the account owner. They will ask you those public database questions, or just call you back to see if the number is still working. Then they will restore the account.
I got all accounts back. |

Good. WHen you said virtual numbers, you meant like google voice?
Because I use these and I have no problems whatsoever.
It's possible something else triggered a soft limitations and it chain reacted into your Vnumber. |

I don't think it's something else triggered the limitation except these numbers. What they told me is there're some possible unauthorized action on my account, all they want to do is to confirm if it's number belongs to me. |

Noticed another new change. After the accounts restored, they all have the 21 funds hold back again for 90 days. Really depressed! |

| That sucks, but at least be thankful they restored the accounts at all.
I would rather have the holds imposed then have a dead account I wouldn't be able to use. |

21 day hold is nothing honestly. I don't understand why you 'd be depressed when you got your accounts back...
So ship fast and get good feedbacks. Even if they said 90 days, if you do well, it'll go away a lot sooner |
