ebay now want documents
 

I've got a great ebay account thats years old and i hope to keep.

Its a stealth account that i think i supplied docs for years ago.

It had all its auctions taken down 2 weeks ago because of (hazardous materials) it isnt hazardous but you know how they can be.

I spoke to an agent and they advised on changes to make.

I made changes and re-listed but they quickly shut down the listings again.

Once they shut them down they suspended me for 30 days and also now want drivers licenses and utility bills.

I don't think i have the old docs. why are they asking for these docs if i have already sent them 6 years ago?

It’s usually just to verify you again get creative and send them again hopefully they don’t have the old ones you sent either way you’ve got nothing to loose so give it a try.

It's very unlikely you've ever supplied such documents to eBay as its very rare they ask for it. In fact, it's only in situations like this, where they feel you pose imminent risk will they ask for such information (listing, what they classify as, hazardous items).

If you supply what they're after, and I assume they'll want invoices too, you should be okay.

Hopefully you've got other stealth accounts up and running at the same time.

honestly they can ask for docs anytime they want. can you come up with newer docs since it's been 6 years ago?

The exact same thing has happened on a second account just now.

These where both shut down for hazardous at the same time. But with this second one i re-listed last week.

I am a little scared now.

Did you really think this through before asking it?

I'm sorry. I know you're desperate and sad and stunned by this turn of events, but you need to take a good, long look at this, get yourself together, and move forward in a different direction.

I highly doubt they'll accept Chinese invoices.

Hazardous material claim is a very serious thing and something that I'd never ever want to deal to public due to health reasons and people's well being. It's my conscience.

YOu probably don't want to hear this, but I think you should change what you sell and start figuring that out on your new accounts.
