Phone number on eBay Account
 

Hi, I bought and used a TracFone to make an eBay stealth account. The account and paypal work great, and the limits are already somewhat high after only two weeks of creation.

My account was suspended after my first listing, but I got in reinstated by calling eBay. The agent asked me to confirm my f@ke information, and after doing so, he asked for my phone number and he called me back on my phone number. After this, I was reinstated.

I'm now wondering if I'd be safe to change my TracFone number, so that I'd be able to make more stealth accounts. I don't think eBay is going to need to verify my information again in the future, so I'm thinking I'm safe. Also, my other stealth account has a f@ke phone number (I really don't even know it) that I made up when I created the account, and it's never thrown any issues.

Please let me know what you think - should I change my TracFone number and make a new account? Or would I risk suspension by doing so?

Keep that number forever!
Paypal will need it for security checks such as adding a bank account.

If I don't really plan on adding a bank account, I should be fine then, right? I mean if I want to play it same I reckon I could just wait the 90 days ...

If you plan on selling on ebay and collecting payment from paypal on stealth, you very soon will have no other options but to add a bank account.

Well if you don't transfer to bank account, what did you plan on doing with the money. Their new procedures will not allow you to spend the balance without verifying your ID?

You can transfer money from PayPal account to PayPal account, as long as it's done carefully and over time. Carelessly transferring all of your balance to another account is a surefire way to get limited on PayPal.

A bank account simplifies the transfer of money and is safer, but is not required.

Until April 19th....... Hence we keep saying this. Do you not read the forum or the countless TOS agreement emails paypal has been sending you the past couple months?
