They really don't care do they?
 

Hi all,

Got suspended yesterday indefinitely for falling below standard. I have explained the situation to them, tough pregnancy, abusive ex, offered documents for proof of this, but no they don't care, my selling ability is to remain permanently restricted.

If you fall below there expected standards then there's mot much you can do to get the account back, other than appeal every now and again.

You're better off putting your energy in to learning stealth. You can be back up and selling in no time. :)

It is unfortunate. But no matter what the reason is, they just don't tolerate it.

You've stumbled across the perfect site. Grab the stealth guide and get started. You'll be back on ebay in no time, and will never need to worry about losing accounts.

I'm sorry this is happening to you. But you'll have to have the mindset of business is business, they won't care about your personal stuff.

At this point, my best suggestion is to start over with the ebay stealth.
Once you read it, ask more questions in the forum, the members here are very good about helping.

Is it completely safe when used correctly? Don't I have to slowly build up the account before I can start selling?

Yes and Yes.

When starting a new account the best practice is to start slowly, build trust with ebay and paypal by showing them you can operate an account hassle free for the first 1-3 months. Paypal especially is all about 'risk' if you pose no risk and build a solid account you can start to sell more freely without risk of limitations etc.

Does it matter what you were selling on ebay? I was selling prints, cards and invitations. Will they recognise the designs?

Ideally you would take new pictures, with different backgrounds etc

You will need to erase all meta data from the photos if using the same camera you used on previous accounts. Batch purifier works for this.

It does matter what you sell, i.e. you want to avoid anything high risk.

With your item seems fine, only advice would be avoid using any prints/images that may be copyright. General floral patterns etc. should be fine.

Quantity also matters, so don't list lots of items, stick to just one card, and take it slowly from there.

In the future if things in your home life go crazy and you can't meet your commitments, stop selling.

I understand the need to make a living, but EB is sensitive about people taking money and not performing.

Paypal has heard all these stories before - whether yours are truthful or not (I'm not being negative on you and I do feel your situation if so) other ppl have burned these stories to the ground with PP and fraud action :(

They are pretty heartless when it comes to things like this

Unfair I know, but its why its always best to just stop all services if something happens that means you are unable to get thing delivered

can you start off your account with different stuff first? and introduce the old stuff, with new pics later?

they cannot look at doc proof of your personal issues and open cans of worms, it is a business, customers may have been let down.

No matter how much evidence you submit, they won't reinstate that account. As you mentioned in your thread title, they dont seem to care in these situations.

I strongly advise you to take down listings if you are ever in a position where you cannot put time into selling/maintaining your account(s). Otherwise you'll find yourself back here.

Forget about the suspended account for now.

Once you get the stealth guide, you'll know the steps on what to do.

Come back here and just tell us your plan and steps so we can audit it to make sure you didn't miss anything.

1. About the stealth accounts, yes they are absolutely safe. If you have more the better.
2. In regards to what items, it seems that you make your own products? Or at least sell non-high risk which is great.

there's a step in the stealth guide that'll tell you to NOT use the same photos. So just edit the size of the photos and edit the EXIF from it and you'll be fine. They won't suspend you for selling the same item.
