Ebay Call/Phone Confirmation Dropdown Glitch? Help
 

I posted this in the eBay section but, maybe this is more appropriate.

I've had this for 5 days now there's no way to get rid of it. Ebay is asking me to call them or confirm my phone number. I am assuming there is supposed to be some sort of drop down menu. Every time I click the call us button it just redirects me to blank login screen to re-log all over again.

Here is what I've tried so far:
1. Waiting 24 hours
2. Turning off ad blocker plus and all addons
3. Tried 3 Different IPs
4.Tried a different computer
5. Obliviously clearing the cache ect its not a normal glitch
4. Four different browsers one with regular search history intact the rest with cleared everything.
5. I waited around 36 hours give or take and tried to login

A backstory ebay was asking me to confirm/update my phone number for a little but, I just kinda ignored it. The account is not new its about 6-7 months old with like 500+ feedback. Its not an account issue either I don't think as all of my items are still listed and selling still just sold stuff an hour ago and there is nothing related to the issue in my email. If the account was toast I would see something related to it in my email or they would pull my items at least.

Anyone have this before? I'm really trying to avoid calling them as the account is a female but, I've seriously tried everything possible.

Okay so for some weird reason i tried to login using eBay UK (this is a USA account) and I managed to see the message.

Verify Your Phone Number

To help provide a safe trading environment, eBay members need to have a valid phone number on file. Please work with us to verify or update and verify your phone number by following a few, easy steps. We care about your privacy and encourage you to learn more.

1. Receive an automated call at the phone number we have on file for you.

2. Remember the PIN (Personal Identification Number) you receive during the call.

3. Return to eBay and enter the PIN.

Click here to begin verification.

It just loops back like before I used the process I used before and still nothing. Yes I also deleted cache ect and tried to run IE as admin this time and nothing in addition to trying to login on multiple browsers

You could have some kind of soft limitation on your account

Calling eBay/PayPal is usually frowned upon but if you're stuck and out of options, give the general eBay phone number a call. The automated call should all you to input your account phone # to pull up your details

Try using different browsers. So far Firefox has worked the best for me.

I have 4 different browsers and 2 different computers.

Only thing I haven't tried is calling. Only reason I haven't called is that the account is under a female's name so not sure how I'm suppose to play it

If they wondered, tell them you are going under the knife.

So call them if this is not going away.

Well this is a nightmare, I figured out how to do it and call as a masculine female . After 3 hours the customer service and 3 transfers wasn't able to solve it of course.

They had me reset my password a couple of times login with my username and email and all the other stuff above I mentioned I tried all over agian.

They basically told me wait 24 hours for the system from resetting my password and try logging in again. And apparently they cant change the phone number to the account with out me logging in and doing it. So it seems I'm out of options if that doesn't work which most likely it wont.

After trying 3 different computers I tried logging in on my phone and it worked was able to login on Ebay APP but still have to verify phone number to list on ebay classic and it gives me the same error as the original post. Right back to the login.

Also apparently you cant change your account information on the Ebay app. This is such a weird glitch that's making me nuts.

Why is calling ebay frowned upon? Call. Call again. call. Call again. Are you crazy? Nobody is going to question your gender. If the name on the account is Mary and you are a man just call and don't even think about this (if they do start to cry hehe).
