I have just signed up for a new ebay account and I think I may have cocked it all up already arghhhh!

Ebay set up was fine. The issue has come now from adding bank account to Paypal. The account I am trying to add is a saver account that I have had for ages. It keeps coming up with my request can't be processed, please try again later.

The trouble is, the first time I put the details in I entered the wrong bank account which is actually the one I have on my old paypal. Old paypal wasn't suspended or limited. Is this okay or would it now have linked me?

By trying and failing to add the bank account, the link is weak since you "could" have done a typo.

I am guessing you did not keep trying, correct?

If its a totally new bank account then you may now need to ring PayPal to get it manually added.

OP was saying that he entered an old already-used bank account once by error :)

Yeah I tried entering the wrong account once which is the bank account I have on my old paypal. Old paypal is in good standing. It saif your request could not be processed, please try again later. I then tried to add different one which is a savings account and got the same message. The names one the accounts are different to the name used to sign up to Paypal which Ive read can be an issue. What should I do in this situation?

Ive applied for a new account with a different bank that I'm currently waiting on.

Thank you. Sorry I meant what to do regarding continuing with this account or abandoning it and making another? Do you know what they might ask? What name would I give them?

You should be fine to keep using it, but when you get the new bank account you may need to ring to get it added

Just to update in case anyone else ever searches, I got the new account details through and added the bank account on PayPal and it was accepted. Let just hope now that entering the wrong bank account by mistake won't create a link to my suspended eBay account. Fingers crossed!
