Bought the stealth guide years ago, question
 

So, I bought the stealth guide back in 2010 after getting permanently suspended from eBay. In 2012 I used the tips in there to get another account. I’ve basically been using the account of a family member since and have had no problems and have followed all the rules. Same with PayPal I’ve been using this same family members account as well. I was only suspended from eBay I was NOT suspended from PayPal. I just wanted to use a different PayPal because back then my eBay and PayPal were linked and I didn’t want them to discover me.

However, I remember one of the things the guide stressed was not using any of your old info any longer on eBay or PayPal or they will get you. So here is my question.

I wanted to buy things from online retailers like Walmart, Best Buy, etc using PayPal. But my accounts to these sites have my address(one that was used on ebay when I was suspended 8 years ago).If I buy an item from these sites using PayPal and the item ships to my address that if info I was suspended by eBay with, will eBay get me? So for example, if that was confusing I log into say Best Buy under my account, go to checkout, then choose pay with PayPal, but and log into my family members PayPal they’ve been letting me use, but when I pay, the shipping address will be my address. eBay and PayPal split up, so I’m thinking no, but I just want to make sure.

The situation you are speaking about is not a strong link but repetition + manual review could raise questions and flags - keeping that in mind, it is up to you to keep doing that or not. Will the account be reviewed for whatever reason? Only you can decide if so.

Make backup accounts with non-family and friend info

When you ask if my account will be reviewed do you mean my PayPal or eBay account? Regardless, for either I don’t think so. I don’t do anything shady. Since eBay and PayPal split, does eBay even have access to PayPal info outside of transactions used on eBay?

Yes, they can always request for info if they need to.

Why not just use your normal credit card to make your purchases on these retailer's sites?

To me it doesn't make sense to use Paypal at all, unless you're doing biz on eBay.

There is a sale and I want to buy an item and the sale will end before I can transfer the Paypal money into an account I want to buy this item with. So I wanted to just pay with Paypal directly. FYI, my address registered with Paypal isn't my shipping address, it's just with my Best Buy account. So I don't know if Paypal will be privy to that shipping address and if they are, share it with eBay.
