Suspended for 7 days but not VERO suspension??
 

I am new to this forum.

Just started selling on eBay about 6 month ago. My items are considered high risk designer items. Not high volume but slowly building up.

So about a week ago, an item was removed due to trademark violation and I thought maybe just someone didn't like me or the item or whatever and so just reported it to be taken down. So today i got the email saying that I am suspended for 7 days from selling because another item and that item was also taken down:

The email doesn't specifically saying it's a vero taken down and wants me to contact the owner.

Also I just learned about the stealth thing that everyone is talking about..

So today I thought instead of waiting I'd just call and ask the suspension to be lifted. And so I called and a "escalation team member" lifted my suspension.. Is that a common thing?

Not really common on the lifting part. you got lucky there.

Designer items will always be super risky for any account new or old.

THe fact that you did get the 7 day suspension, the next one will be either 14 or 30 days then it'd be a permanent suspension.

You can avoid it by talking to the rights owners (they wanted you to contact them anyways) and get a written permit that it's ok then give it to eBay.

How do you know it's a VeRO taken down? It didn't specific give me an email to contact or something..

I know as a buyer you can report an item as potentially not genuine. Not sure what happens after that, but it is odd there was no specific VERO info in the email.

becareful saijin is right, even if the rep lifted it i bet the bot is still monitoring you. and will slam you because bots dont talk to ebay reps

It looks like you were reported by a competitor/buyer and not the rights owner. If this were a true VeRO takedown, the email would have the VeRO agent's contact info.

There are tons of different ways you can get in trouble on eBay. It's not always necessarily the brand owner who jams you up.

Haha. There aren't any robots working at eBay. Mostly just foreign call center workers who literally couldn't care less about eBay's success or failure.

This is exactly what a Ver0 takedown would look like except this time its someone outside ebay wanting you to contact them

So someone outside eBay wants me to contact them, so they contacted eBay to give me a suspension? So you mean the copy right owner is not listed in the VERO program but wants to report me?

Usually if seller contacts bidder outside of ebay and bidder/buyer complains...
