Proof that Ebay staff are incompetent people who don't care about their customers
 
So my account was suspended a couple of weeks ago.

I did the whole ‘sending them my name and address..details’ by post, to confirm who I am, and to get my account reinstated.

Yesterday I got an email from ebay. Obviously in response to my letter. Surprise surprise, an automated one.

We regret to inform you that your eBay account has been suspended due to the violation of our site policy below:

[ATTN SUPPORT REP! insert text here!]

Due to the suspension of this account, you are prohibited from using our system in any way, which includes registering under a new account name.

Please note that any seller fees due to eBay will immediately become due and payable. eBay will charge any amounts you have not previously disputed to the billing method currently on file.

If the fact that the response was automated, wasn’t bad enough! The useless cretin dealing with my case couldn’t even be botherd to fill out the section where he/she is suposed to give a reason!

I want to kill ebay. If ebay was here in front of me now in the form of a person, I’d knock them flat out.

Hahahaha..I love those emails. Since it wasn't signed by a name (⊗⊗⊗⊗ one) it means it is automated. What probably happened is the person who made the automated macro for that response didn't realise there was a field for a CSR to manually enter something in, and just used the response as is. It's pretty retarded.

We actually had a few reps with hilarious ⊗⊗⊗⊗ names 'aliases'. One guy was Odyssey, another Dragonlord, etc. It was pretty funny when they used them in Live Chat.

I do not know what people even try to work with them.

Does anyone know of a single person who was able to get results from a duffass at ebay to get back on?

I know of many who walked the line, sent them everything and then some and still got the sorry, your screwed email.

"Proof"? Can't it just mean that a person does the suspension, but the system auto sends out the suspension notice emails? I'd think that would make more sense...but hey..you're the boss.

Lol, that's great. I used to work at Earthlink cancellation department. And we had to send out emails like this sometimes. I know I've more then once sent out template emails without editing. Oh well. Earthlink sucks anway. :)
