need VeRO warnings & suspensions chart
 

I recently read that ebay *normally* deals with real or imagined VeRO violations in this way:

1st violation: warning
2nd violation: warning
3rd violation: warning
4th violation: 7-day suspension
5th violation: 7-day suspension
6th violation: 30-day suspension
7th violation: permanent suspension?

Each violation supposedly "rolls off" after 90 days.

It does not matter how many items you have for sale. The more you list, the more you therefore run the risk of inadvertently and permanently losing your account. (Since you merely need to *appear* to be in violation.)

It used to be that you could look up your status at ebay, but no longer.

Is the above accurate?

No, that's not at all accurate. The action eBay takes on each suspension depends entirely on the selling history of the account in question. A high volume account with thousands of sales each month can survive dozens of VeRO takedowns per year as long as they stay on top of customer service, because they are making eBay a lot of money.

Because of that, there's no such chart and it wouldn't be possible to make one. It would be speculation, and wrong.

You didn't specify what you mean by "VeRO" in your other thread. Anything with a brand has a verified rights owner. If you're selling counterfeits on a new account you'll probably lose that account after the first listing takedown.

I remembered it slightly wrong. It was one person's experience:
"1st VERO Strike: They remove the violating listing, ask you to not list it again, and require you to take a course on copyright rules.
2nd + 3rd VERO Strike: They remove the violating listings and ask you to no longer list those items.
4th + 5th VERO Strike: They remove the violating listings and take away your listing privileges for 1 week.
Anything past 5 VERO Strikes: They remove the violating listings and take away your listing rights for 1 month.
Anything past the strike that gets you a month of no listing is unknown to me. "

That was that users personal experience, but by no means is that how they handle all accounts as a rule. I've posted a screenshot before from my email account showing 15+ takedowns in 2017 on a big account.

Has a thread here collected a list of such experiences?

Ebay must have some internal guidelines they use, which might be ferreted out through such a collection.

It would of course be good to know what we might generally expect in advance, assuming we don't deliberately do anything wrong.

E.g., what if you innocently list 10 products made by the same company, which one day decides it doesn't like you undercutting their suppliers. Would this suddenly mean 10 VeRO violations and the loss of your account?

What if they were under one listing, with 10 variations?
