EBay cracking down on new accounts??
 

I can't even create a buyer account anymore without it getting almost immediately suspended. Anyone else having the same experience??

Yes. Had to call in twice on an account made last week. They tell you everything is OK, then they suspend again.

Why don't you tell us more about your process.
From what I know an immediate suspension - BEFORE you list anything - is usually related to your IP solution.

Yes, eBay is a LOT more strict now.

The majority of your problems can be attributed to your IP address, phone#, or VCC you are using.

Give us the steps you took when you create your account.
We can’t know what’s going on and give you advice at the same time

I use the stealth guide..

I first make a new user account then make the ebay account with a forwarding phone number, then browse and add some stuff to my watch list. Then after a few days I add a paypal account with a cc attatched and list my first item which is always an item that is not very popular and around $20. I never use stock photos. My account always gets suspended very shortly after that, then I call in and it's usually reinstated but lately they have been suspending them permanently!

From what I remmeber I am doing it right.. I haven't read the stealth guide in 10 years though.

Forwarded phone number? Only a REAL phone number works. Are you using VoiP internet phone numbers?
You never mentioned IP... what are you doing for unique IP addresses?
What OP system are you using? Windows? MAC?
What is your "not popular " first item listed? Brand name and brand new?
You are either getting linked, getting the boot due to abused phone numbers or IP's or they don't trust your selling practices based on items listed... more information needed to help you.

Is the item a branded item? This is not an IP issue most likely unless you used a proxy or a bad VPN provider, even then you'll usually get suspended before you list your first item

Fresh ip - from ipburger
real phone
verifed with vcc paypal

account aged for 10 days with browsing ( At l east 4 hours )

after the 1st listing got suspended they reinstate i got 1 sale on the 2nd sale i got immediate suspend

and they dotn explain why they just say " inappopriate activities"

I'm using phone.com, at&t mobile hotspot and I log all my ips so I don't get linked
, I use a mac, and I usually list like a $20 item like a cheap coffeemaker or maybe a book or keychain. They are usually new which I am now starting to realize that they should probably be used.. and yeah brand name most of the time but sometimes they are unbranded.

It usually is branded but not all of the time. Sometimes it's just a book of an unbranded keychain.

What is phone.com? If it's what I think it is (virtual phone number), this is likely the cause of your account ailments.

eBay & PayPal Account suspended a Month ago.

Stealth guide.
New gmail and new phone number (changed my cell number). Created eBay account w/diff name & address within 20 miles aprox 2 wks ago. Browsing and watching few items. Also purchases 5-7 small items under $5 each to get feedback. Initially used VPN in Florida then reset wireless router and made sure IP changed and have been using browser on iPhone w/wireless for last few days. Made sure to delete all search history etc so wouldn’t get linked. Oh and I created my PayPal a couple days after the w us account and it is verified with a brand new Wells Fargo account. Yesterday I listed first item. 2 new hard back books in new series by Nora Roberts. Pics were taken w/iPhone and removed exif Data thru shortcuts on iPhone. Within an hour I received this email that my account was suspended . Did my best not to panic & called them. CSR asked where I got the books—told him I am an avid reader and they are mine. He says ok, thanks, I will reinstate your account now...and did. Any ideas why?!

It's a forwarding service like google voice. Do you really think that is the issue?

Yes.... 100% certainly
Only real phone numbers work for account creation. No GV or similar internet phone will work...none.

It's really easy for eBay to catch on if you're using virtual numbers.
Best is to have someone (check marketplace) verify the account for you using a REAL phone number. And then you can add your virtual number later on e.g googlevoice.

It's actually just fine. Just don't use it for account creation, as it will cause issues (sometimes). It's actually a hit or miss.
