Your eBay account has been suspended indefinitely
 

Hi guys, here's what happened:

August 1, I bought an USA eBay account.

August 18, after doing some search and looking around, I listed my first item, then got suspended during 8 hours.

August 20, I called eBay, they verified my account info (username, address, sales plan), then reinstated the account.

Aug 21, I listed item A (used unbrand hand-held massager), starting price $0.99, buy it now price $5, didn't sell.

Aug 26, I relisted item A (used unbrand hand-held massager), starting price $0.99, no buy it now price, didn't sell.

Sep 1, I listed item B (used unbrand makeup bag), starting price $0.1, no buy it now price, it's sold.

Sep 11, I relisted item A (used unbrand hand-held massager), starting price $0.1, no buy it now price, it's sold.

Sep 26, when I was going to list item C, some used unbrand paper clips, I got red warning on the top of listing page:

It looks like you're attempting to list an item that we have found is commonly used to falsely inflate Feedback scores or detailed seller ratings, which violates our performance manipulation policy. This activity creates unfairness amongst sellers and decreases trust in the marketplace.

I quit the listing.

Sep 28, I relisted item B (used unbrand makeup bag), starting price $3.19, buy it now price $5.99.

Oct 1, the account was suspended. Below is the email I got from eBay:

After reviewing your eBay account, recent activity has raised serious security concerns. As a result, we've taken the following action on your account:
- Your eBay account has been suspended indefinitely.
- Item listings have been removed. A list of removed items is available further down in this email.

You won't be able to use eBay in any way. This includes using another existing account or registering a new account. Any outstanding selling fees are due immediately, and any amounts that you haven't previously disputed will be charged to the billing method currently on file.

We've taken this precaution to protect our members while we make sure that the activity doesn't cause harm -- however unintentionally -- to the eBay community.


I called eBay, but they say the decision is final, I can continue my business on other platforms.

I guess the last listing (relisted item B too soon) trigger the suspension. Do you think so? Any advice would be very appreciated. Thanks! :ballchain:

Im thinking those massagers might be considered high risk as well since theyre electronic related.
Between that and the warning you received the account realy didn't stand a chance.
Learn from your mistakes and try again.

I dont think Ebay would allow that.

The massager is non-electronic, simple hand-held massager.

Sellers don’t typically call in for you. Do you have any idea how much time that would take? It’s not the seller’s responsibility.

Back to topic about massagers, those are considered electronics nd beauty stuff - high risk.

Paper clip = feedb k manipulation.

No, suspension is not inevitable.
I think buyers should learn how to do business correctly in this platform and stop feeling entitled to too much

I SEE plenty of massager for sale on Ebay.
It has to do with your account.
