Getting suspended without even listing ?
 

Two weeks ago I got suspended, which I was ok with since the account lasted about 8 months. I've been in the stealth game for a long time, so I really didn't care, as I figured I'd just make a new account. But I'm having major problems.


Based on my tests, each new account that I try gets suspended 30 minutes to an hour after becoming a seller. I even had accounts created a year ago (blank) and those failed too. Even if I don't add a paypal, or list anything, the second I become a seller, it's over. It doesn't matter if I build a watch list, or buy a bunch of items to get out of the the 0 feedback phase, as I said above, the second in which I become a seller I get suspended.


Did ebay do something major ? I read a post saying that they are trying to force everyone with a brand new account to call them and answer their bs questions.

On the regular Ebay seller forum,I have not come across one thread that someone get suspended the minute he/she make a listing,so it could be your stealth account.

What did you post to turn the account into a seller account?

I have been suspecting that it could be something in the IP since I've had hundreds of stealth accounts over the years. I do change my IP every time, but maybe I'm given repeat IP that I've been given in the past.
The only other thing could be the fact that the phone number is from an app called TextNow - aka a "virtual one".

It can't be the addresses I use, I already verified that.


But that's the only info they really have before I add an actual auto-payment method - name, address, phone, IP.


The whole reason why I figured out I'm getting suspended before I even fully add the auto-payment is because I got sick of losing VCCs, so I decided to try to just become a seller and leave it there to see what happens.



I still need to test a few other things but that's all I know so far. You sure there hasn't been a major update causing this though ?

You cannot use textnow or any VoiP when creating accounts. Only real phone numbers work.

how did you turn your account into a seller account without adding payment method?

did you verify your phonenumber?

which windows version do you use?
iam using win 10 2019 ltsc which doesnt leak that much

just call them and verify your account. this kind of suspensions is very easy to tackle.

EBAY DE suspended all new accounts within hours since from last month. So I guess it was not that you did something wrong.

Trust me, EBAY suspended over 80% new accounts within hours. If EBAY asks you to upload requried documents, then less then 50% accounts can pass through. I tried to open new DE accounts last month, 4 accounts and none of them were successful. While I could be over 80% successful before 2019. I am not going to register new DE accounts as they are useless now.

^ It definitely depends on how you created them.
Never had any accounts suspended the same day it was created yet.
So it could be the process of the creation of account.

Of course, it's got everything to do with his stealth account.
If folks on eBay forum did stealth, do you think that would be a good place to talk about it?

Seems these days getting better to create new accounts on EBAY DE.

I guess EBAY DE was preparing to deal with the VAT matters, so Sep. was really not a good month to create new accounts.
