Is SS # a problem?
 

Hi,
Thanks very much for this forum. I was suspended by ebay last year because i was in a serious car accident and couldn't manage my selling. A friend refunded all my auctions, but because they had all gone to the dispute stage, my account was suspended. I have been using an account in my girlfriends name for the past 4 months. I want to get my own account back and already tried with a diferent username and e-mail. All went well until I was paid for my first auction. Then ebay immediately suspended the new account. Your guidelines for getting back on ebay are priceless, but I have a question. What do you do about your social security number? Don't they ask for it on paypal? Thanks very much!

So I assume the Ebay Stealth Book will help me get around this problem?

When creating a stealth account I usually use a friends name. By using a friends name if your account (I should say "when your account") gets limited, you could possibly get them to enter their ssn number for you by offering them a percentage.

its one of the biggest problems on getting back....they should ban this option tho they are not a bank to be asking sensititive questions like that

For those who get the debit card or choose money market, SSN is required. Debit card is issued by a bank. So is money market. If you DO NOT choose those items, you don't have to give an SSN, only have to prove you HAVE an SSN. There is a difference.
