11/2019 Account Suspension
 

Greetings, I bought a Paypal / US ebay package from bjammin and it was active for 7 months (April 2019 - Nov. 2019). Great account and setup btw! I also purchased a fresh IP address from IPburger as well.

Within the last month I've missed a seller payment and my account was placed on hold for about 4-5 days. I paid my fees, was reinstated automatically and continued selling without an issue. Sidenote: I've NEVER called eBay or Paypal's customer service. I've earned about $2100 every 30 days. I primarily sell health & wellness products (no prescriptions, drugs etc) like protein bars / shakes etc.

Now In the last 30 days, I've sold (1) Xbox One - which I owned. A 23 & Me Genetics kit and two pair of Nike Trainers. Yesterday and Today I sold about (3) Bose micro speakers that retail for $99. I sold my listings for $88 to compete with Pre-Black Friday sales happening at the major stores. I did about $400 in sales the last two days.

ALSO, in the last 30 days every time I logged onto eBay it began asking me to complete their 'puzzle' captcha's to "ensure the security of my account" (paraphrase). Not sure if that matters; just thought I'd include it.

Where did I go wrong?! Was it because I added new items and tried to sell to many units quickly? Was this an amalgam of different mistakes?

Any insight is helpful. Trying to be as transparent because I want to learn from my mistakes.

I purchased a new chromebook tonight and will be trashing the one I have now and starting over. Also going to purchase another stealth and IP Burger ip addy.

likely too many high risk items suddenly: nike, bose, xbox

I also think this, I've missed fees before no major problems
But, I still think it's odd to get flagged since your account has good sales and to make $400 in a few days should ok on a trusted account

I started reselling phones out of no where on an account I hadnt sold on in a long time and sold 3-4k of zte phones in 1st month which I always thought phones were high risk. I thought for sure I'd get flagged by pp or eBay but nothing ever happened and went on to sell 8k gross sales in 2.5 months.

Did you buy a high limit account? I sometimes think the system trusts higher limit accounts

I dont think it is because she is selling XBOX,NIKE,etc,it could be her stealth account.
You dont get suspended from selling low or high risk items,unless she is selling counterfeit or never ship anything

if this was the case, then anybody could signup for an account and sell high risk items right away as long as its not counterfeit. unfortunately it doesn't work this way. in ebay's eyes you are guilty until proven innocent.

you have to prove yourself by building up these types of items slowly (or some brands are better to avoid altogether given the amount of counterfeits). a sudden spike in these types of items is a big red flag for ebay bots that just see keywords

They didn't "signup for an account and sell high risk items right away". They sold small items for 8 months first

Truth be told, how does anyone know something is counterfeit without a full analysis on the item? I hate how people throw that word around based on finicky eBay and amazon buyers.
