Did any of you experience this? Is it just a numbers/percentage based? It's like they have an arbitrary 50% number to suspend or something. Has the instant suspension lessened now that it's past Christmas?

No, no activity. Hard suspension, can't login to account to get customer service number or anything. The suspension rate wasn't this bad before. All got suspended around Christmas day.

now almost all new accounts get banned. If you have not connected verified paypal it is absolutelly normal

I honestly don’t think eBay will ever go back to ‘normal’ and we just have to adapt to their new heightened security. Methods always change in some way and we just have to get around them or look for a 9-5.

I’ve found success in ageing accounts for a month and selling on them without any restrictions/suspensions at all.

To answer your question, I tried creating new accounts and selling straight away but they were unsurprisingly suspended. So eBay is still being quick to pull the trigger I’d say and won’t loosen up until January(end of Q4) if they ever do

It seems everyone experience is different, I made a stealth about 10 days or so ago, listed something after 2 days, sold it, I listed another item, everything is going well. hope it stays that way

Well if you lost half the accounts at the exact same time (and im betting if you check the ebay emails notifying you of the suspensions youll see theyre within the range of a few minutes) then two things are clear. The first is the fact it was a sweep and the second is that the accounts had commonalities in the way you created them.
You need to go over the process you used and figure out which parts of it are the most likely to have been the linking factor.

For sure it was within a few minutes of each other. Within 5 minutes. It was a sweep. Could it be the pictures? I heard that ebay doesn't count pictures anymore in terms of using other people's pictures because it's ebay's property at that point. I heard that was the TOS.

The tightening of security is mainly in the USA due to managed payments being introduced here. Any new accounts are being rigorously vetted after being suspended and the security vetting is getting tighter when you call them to verify the account, that now eliminates made up names to addresses.

I think that these take downs may be because the address and name on public file do not match and they are cleaning house for managed payments.

Well I meant that the first listing I put, they start taking things down, so the accounts are fine until after I list something

That is correct, as far as I know all accounts are suspended on first listing until you call them up and pass verification.

This actually helped me as I had a flaw in my set up and I worked out that the VPN that I was using they did not like now as when verifying the accounts they were very blunt in informing me that they did not want my business.

So if anybody is using Express VPN dump them, as eBay has flagged them, ipburger works for now.

Cell phone tether is not an issue as far I can see as the ip changes all the time, I used to do it all the time on Amazon and they are more tech savvy than eBay.

This is it. All my new accounts were getting banned because the Paypal was not verified. Since Paypal verified, no suspensions on the last 10 accounts that I have created. I think this is a new thing were sellers need a verified Paypal to sell on eBay.

Using a VPN would have certainly been a linking factor.
Using your cellphone as a hotspot device would work better. Be sure to keep track of all the IPs being used.

Ya something is definitely flawed in your process. I started a few a week or so ago and followed normal procedures. Build cookies, search around etc for a few days then listed no risk real picture items. Took about 24 hours and got notice two verify. Had to call twice for reasons stated in other threads. Public records type. Second call CS was helpful, I used common sense when it came to questions and got reactivated immediately. No problem.

I always use 24vc for vpn.. Probably used them for over a hundred accounts past few years and never any issues.
Just a thought, could it be opening so many at once leads to mistakes? Not saying that's the reason but I've never opened more than a few at a time.

i got 50+ suspended recently. And i wrote all datapoints out. Nothing matches with remaining active one. And it looks pure random.. super super random. Everything what i read here does not match with my method.

I think the suspensions are to have you phone up and have the account verified over the phone by asking personal questions such as your height where you may have lived or car color etc.

Just another way that eBay is tightening up.

I expect that none of the suspended accounts were on managed payments.

i've always made it this way. plenty of big celluar people use ebay mobile they just cant ban mobile use..So ips refresh quickly, some duplicates i am sure, but ebay can't tie that.. there's too many mobile users.
I've lost a half dozen over the last month .. some 5-7 year old accounts. But, still issue persists.. on first listing, usually call or find another way :)
