eBay acc temporary selling limitation!
 

Hi all,

So I have been trading on eBay for a while now.

About 2 months ago my account was limited and my listings removed by eBay.
The message I received was that I was selling counterfeit items.
I called up eBay immediately and told them that wasn't the case and based on my feedback and over 50 items sold in the last few months (high value) that that couldn't be the case.

The agent spoke to his supervisor and managed to get this decision overturned. I subsequently received an email saying my appeal to the counterfeit selling was successful.

Fast forward a few weeks and my listings are removed again - no ban just removed. I contact ebay and they give me the usual schpiel about how that their specialist team has determined that my items were phakes.

I tell them I am happy to send in sales receipts showing my purchases. They agree and I get them to review these. They come back and ask how I can offer such a discount to my sales price based on the retail value - to which I respond that I receive staff discount.
The agent (live agent via chat) states he will resend to the specialist team again for confirmation.

I chase for the next few days and receive a message saying that they team have decided that the items are phakes (even though there is absolutely no way to tell from the images) and that I cannot list these in the future. I received a 7 day limitation on selling.

As this is an old ebay account with nearly 400+ feedback (all positive), is there any way I can save this? Should I fight back, I feel like the consistency of ebay help is all over the place.

YOUR Account is not banned,you just received a 7 days limitation and you cant sell those items anymore.
They dont just rely on images,images do not always represent the items we are selling,someone could have bought one copy from you and look at it or the manufacturer or vero did .
sometimes it could be the receipt you showed them,they could already known the vendor is known to sell counterfeits.
Brand names manufacturers do not like their merchandise being sold at deep discount.

So the message I received from ebay was not a vero one and I confirmed this with the ebay agent.

The receipt was actually a legitimate receipt from the retailer.

I can't sell those items anymore which poses a huge problem for me as that is my main income source from those items.

Is there anyway around this?

You said you get a staff discount,do you work for the retailer ?
you cant sell these merchandise with your ebay account,or you could be suspended .
you cant be the only one selling,why not ask your colleague

if the receipt shows a higher price than what you pay for,then that receipt is not the right receipt.

This account will get permanent suspension if you keep listing the same items. Guaranteed.
So you can either sell through stealth accounts
OR
just open multiple accounts under original account and toss them without thinking if any gets the same message or listing removal.

What do you mean by "multiple accounts under the original account"?

The issue with stealth accounts is that they are very new and dont have the value like a 300+ ebay account has. Although sounds like theres not much I can do?

The receipt was actually from an old purchase I made many months ago which i played around with.

The agent did mentioned he checked on the retailers website aswell to check what the price differences were.

So realstically, if i can't really sell those items on my current ebay anymore that account is more or less useless to me right?

Easy solution create stealth ebays and sell them, receiving funds to your legit paypal.

It's not paypal that has the issue with your items but ebay. You can risk getting stealth ebays suspended as long as your paypal remains untouched which it most likely will.

Do you mean sell from the stealth ebays? Yes thats what im planning to do but the major issue is that I have to now rebuild my massive feedback profile.

The paypal is untouched but was linked to the now limited ebay (7 day limitation).

This raises another Q which I've just thought of - if I leave this limited ebay and not sell from it again, can i still use my verified PP on a stealth account assuming I delink it from this old ebay account? Or is that too risky?

BU WHAT GOOD IS A GOOD Paypal account if she keep getting suspended on EBay?
Unless she finds another venue to sell.and accept Paypal payment.

What I mean is using that PP for another eBay account (a stealth one)

Stealth is the route to take, forget your main account, they will keep on checking your account regularly for at least 1 year.
