Temporary restriction placed by ebay what does that mean?
 

hi,

i was uploading my inventory via turbo lister when i found out that some of the listing got an error message the message is

Your account may have been accessed by a third party. In an effort to protect your account, we have put a temporary block on bidding, selling and the ability to send messages to other eBay members until we can safely restore your account to you. Please click here to contact eBay Customer Support for assistance in removing this temporary account restriction.


i uploaded slightly higher inventory then usual .. how can i restore my account to regular standing?

Talk to the ebay representative that person will tell you did you upload this n that and if they want to be an ass theyll ask a whole bunch of info about you like were you live if they can verify by phone that you are the account holder, just like ask you questions. I myself never did that yet but if u did the prapaid cellphone number thing or a number they can talk to you in case they want to call you youll be fine.

the problem is the phone number is ⊗⊗⊗⊗ and i rearranged my home address so it coudnt be matched to the previous suspended account.. is it trouble ahead?
does it has to be something with the fees?

Well your not so much in a bad spot. If its near were you live in the same state basicly. Then just change your number on the account right now to a number they can call you on right now. What I would do.

no i can access my account normally.. just when i try to upload something this message shows in alert area of turbo lister.. just checked.. my phone number is my cell phone number..

i even tried contacting some of the ebay members via ask seller question and i could easily do that too.. strange?

what kind of questions can they ask?? should i go for live help? or email support? should i wait n see till tommorow listing again?

there is one big problem too i have forgotten answer to secret question and date of birth.. i think i m seriously screwed :(

retrieved date of birth, changed secret question, changed password.. lets see what happens i m not contacting ebay for now.. lets see tommorow if ill be able to list or if i get any nifty messages from ebay (hopefully not)

all well... thank god.. seems like temporary restriction is lifted by itself.. i didnt contacted ebay customer support.. i can list almost anything.. but will limit myself uploading heavy inventory...
