Do returns trigger mc011?
 

I had a stealth account for around 8 months which solely sold iphones. I managed to sell around 500 before getting an mc011, but that was due to listing so many lol.

At one point, i received 5 returns in one day (all changed their mind or disliked the color, conveniently).

So, why didn't ebay flag me? I genuinely thought a certain amount of returns triggers an mc011, or was i just lucky?

Returns weren't the cause unless you failed to process them in a timely manner. It was just the volume of extremely high risk items you were listing/selling that did your account in. :violin:

Yes, i thought that too as i we were hit with an mco11 immediately after increasing quantity to 50 haha. All were shipped same day via next day delivery. Out of 480 deliveries, only 1 was ever late.

No unfortunately. All my faaake docs did pass but then they asked for bank statements. After i gave bank statements, they booted me.

Its a funny world where we get penalized for being good at selling things and making ebay money.

Yep, that's a bit strange. And not at the same time if you sell vero items.

I honestly wish the dishonest sellers get kicked off asap (the ones knowingly selling ⊗⊗⊗⊗ crap). Hopefully when MP is in play in the UK, you're able to get back on if the stuff you're selling isn't counterfeit

I have been buying used phones (50+) on eBay every week for many years. There are not many people selling 10 devices a week anymore. It is only "I am selling my old phone" or sellers with 1,000 listings with stock photos. My guess is that 95% of people who thought of this idea have been banned. It is certainly a viable business (repair a charging port and resell for $50 profit, etc..) but you can't sell them on eBay. It isn't unusual to see regular 100,000+ FB sellers with super customer service "not a registered user".

gazelle-store sold so many phones on eBay they had a super bowl commercial once, if you live in the US you have seen the commercials. Not a registered user.

No one selling 10+ phones a week? Here in the UK there is loads of sellers selling 20+ a day.

Of course there are many people selling 10+ a week but not as many as you would expect. I would say 70% of my purchases come from the same 10 large sellers. Market is completely dominated by a few sellers.
