Help - Set up second account and was suspended. having kittens about main account now
 

I have had a selling account with ebay for 15 years. No issues , no problems, great feedback giving ebay 5K a month.

Last month I checked with ebay what the rules were on opening a second account and was told that it was ok as long as I registered it with a new email address. I wanted to eventually branch out with a new product line.

I set up the account and started listing straight away using all the same details (paypal, bank account, credit card etc) I may have been given the wrong info regarding whether this was ok or not

Two weeks later selling was restricted on the account. I rang ebay and asked what the issue was. Told them I was also registered with my main account. She asked me a few questions and told me I would be best concentrating on the main account and not continuing with the second account.

Today an email came through that this second account had been suspended and that I should not use this and any other accounts.

Not sure what the issue was, and what I had done wrong but I am obviously concerned that may main account is going to be closed now also

Having traded on ebay for 15 years I am now concerned I have put my three employees jobs at risk

What should I do?

Not much you can do.
Those 2 accounts are definitely linked since they used all the same info.
Cross your fingers and hope for the best and if anything happens to the old account call them up to resolve any issues.
Were you selling high risk items on this new account? were you selling those same items on your older account?
