IP Address question
 

Ok first of all i have to say ASPKIN I LOVE YOUR SITE.

I was banned a month ago for buying ebooks. Have been trying to get it reinstated since. So i think its time to do it aspkins way.

Ok about the ip address having to be in the same area. Has anyone ever been banned or questioned for not having it in the same area?

I found a cool service, Protexx.com. They hide your IP but i would it matter if its was a random IP somewhere else in the US? or World? I just dont want to have to sign into AOL everytime i need to use ebay. I wouldnt mind paying 60 a yr for a service that enables me to browse ebay anytime i wish.

EBay will sometimes limit your account if they suspect an unauthorized 3rd party trying to access it. Proxies sometimes trip this, as well as accessing a friend's account which they live in another state or even country. It doesn't always happen though.

AOL is successful for most users. EBay knows it's a proxy and keeps an eye on the user, but usually doesn't suspend because of using AOL.
