Mc071 fpa notice b001

Hi

Received the e-mail from ebay today. Any idea what I did? What this is for?

I talked to live chat and she said there was a note in my account about "selling risk" for the suspension, but the account that was suspended was not selling in the past 4-5 months.

Here is the e-mail:

Hello ******,

Your eBay account has been suspended due to our concerns for the safety of the eBay Community.

All of your current listings have been removed from eBay, and any remaining fees that are on your account are due immediately. These fees will be charged using the billing method that you currently have on file.

Please note that you're not allowed to use eBay in any way during your suspension. This includes registering a new account or using another existing account. Doing so may result in your permanent suspension.

To have your account considered for reinstatement, please reply to this email. We will then contact you with a brief list of requirements that you'll need to take care of before we can consider reinstating your account.

We need you to take action. For more information about why your account may have been suspended and what steps to take now, please go to:

Thank you for your understanding.

Sincerely,

eBay Trust & Safety team

B001 is something to do with merchant fraud

Trimptop 07-16-2010 01:55 PM

I just got the same one today & nothing I sold was merchant fraud! Is there a way to fight this because I don't want them coming after me & my husband thinking we did something illegal!

You can't fight eBay unless you pay a lawyer well for it. Most will not take a case against this company. And eBay will use your information to their advantage if need be. I've had eBay try and serve me papers one time at my door, (only god knows what for), but I always know what packages I am expecting, and the ones I don't know of, I always ask who it's from, when they say eBay, I tell them "No" and send it back.

Educate me please - what is merchant fraud?
