ebay keeps finding me out!

Hi everyone,

I have made 7 new ebay accounts in the past year and they have all been flagged by ebay and suspended.

How do they find me? I have done absolutely everything required! New IP, new address, new name (used the whitepages and searched any valid address with matching name and phone number), new phone number, deleted cookies, private data, cache etc ... new prepaid credit card, new email, never used paypal at all. never logged on to any of my previous accounts. I even payed all my seller fee's with a new prepaid credit card! Even when I make a new account and exercise the above prerequisitions they still manage to find me and suspend me!

Every single time they have linked all my previous accounts to the new accounts! I have taken every single necessary precaution but they still manage to find me! I do not buy them 1 cent e books nor sell anything expensive. Some accounts lasted for upto 2 weeks then I got suspended while others lasted more than a month then I was hit with a suspension.

What am I doing wrong? Or is ebay that advanced that it can detect you? I actually had 188 positive feedback with my first ebay account all 100% excellent feedback which took me around 1 and a half years of hard work to earn! Then they indifinately suspended me for no reason at all! I was even a powerseller!!! What could I have possible done wrong?! They will not even tell me!

I would really appreciate any help at all!

Thank you,

Sincerest Regards

Is it possible that your competition recognizes you and keeps trying to shut you down? Do you sell unique items that only a handfull of people sell? Do you keep your auctions the same for every account?

And how do you know that your being linked? Ebay never tells you the reason why they gave you the boot

x2ruff4u 10-02-2007 08:32 PM

I have a feeling the accounts are under 30 days i assume?

Chris Hanson 10-02-2007 09:06 PM

That 30 day rule doesn't matter. At least I think so because I never had a problem with 5+ accounts

could be alot of things. selling the same kind of items, using old photos, maybe you live in an area where there are not many ebayers so it's easier for them to link you?

powerbid 10-02-2007 09:50 PM

i agree with above posts.. someone is tracking u down.. or either u r using old photos using external links from ur own hosted domain.. thats another reason ebay can catch u... 2ndly there shuld be no connection to all previous accounts.. even the auction description should be different.. different style and all.. stop selling all ur old items... or take a break selling those... or trying listing in some other category... one more advice never log in to ur old accounts.. forget them they r gone and burried in the graves ;)

Well aspkin would say. at I think he would say this

* Considering you only have one post its best that you refer to the guide to answer were you went wrong *

And modee would say i think at least, but its different now lol

* Please refer to the aspkin guide. All the information is there. *

spike1 10-02-2007 10:44 PM

yeah modee is like

"i know the answer to your question but will not give it to you. search the forum!"

lol

i guess his position as administrator takes up so many hours everyday and he is tired of seeing the same s+++ over and over.

powerbid 10-03-2007 01:29 AM

tobe very honest... one should follow the aspkin ebay survival guide no doubt about that...

I can personally confirm that the 30 days rule doesn't matter. I have 40+ items listed right now ending today, without problems, on an account that is less than 5 days old. Unless they have some new system where they tap into your soul during the registration process, you must have missed some point.

spike1 10-03-2007 02:12 AM

taping in to your soul is true. i'm using DBA's how 'bout you?

u can list as many as u want.. but as u reach about 30£+ in ebay fees they will stop u to list anymore.. this is my experience

No not at all, I sell different items. i.e. perfumes, etc ... very small priced items ...

The only thing I can possible think of is logging in to my old ebay hotmail email accounts. Could that give me away?

I have $180 worth of fees *past due* (by 3 days, invoice date was the 30th) on one account and they just let me list another 5 items. How about that? :D

It's possible, if you opened one of the old eBay emails in there and they tracked you. Always always ALWAYS disable images being downloaded in open emails and NEVER click on any links through it.

ebaykilla 10-03-2007 11:15 AM

I usually fight the linking charge by providing documents "proving" I am someone different...also..are you using paypal? If so, change the payments accepted to "merchant account". After the auction end give the buyers the paypal info and tell them to mark the payment as "goods". Be sure to wipe all banned email addys from paypal as well.

ebaykilla 10-03-2007 12:37 PM

I have been offered an appeal on every linking situtation and I won each case(at least 9 times).
