Confirmation deposit. Please weigh in.
 

Theres a site I'd like to create a Stealth account on. They say they need a credit card or bank account on file for any future charges. They state they will charge the account or card a small fee to confirm the provided details are correct.

Once charged they will deposit the funds into the seller account as credit.

So they will charge the account and in the future they will deposit all sales proceeds into the account.

I understand theres a chance that the bank could reject the deposit if supplied details dont match but my question is will the site be able to get my real bank account details by charging the account the small fee?

There are 2 steps to process a credit card transaction,first is to submit it for verification to make sure the card is good,then submit it to be processed.
If the retailer just want to make sure your card is good,it would not submit it for processing,so there is no need to deposit any $$ in your bank account.
just like you use your card at gas station,they usually submit $0.01 to verify your card,if the result is positive,and you start filling gas ,say $35,then it will submit $35 for processing,not the 1 penny.
that site either doe snot understand how card works or it wants your bank account information.
