MC011, private seller. Don't have invoices for all items.

hi i found this website through google.

i recently found my account restricted - I'm not a business seller but I do occasionally sell some high value items. If I had to guess why I was suspended it would be because I listed a dozen items at once on the same day (the selling fee promo they have for private sellers) after months of no activity, but I don't really know. I did get a defect for not shipping an item that was listed a few weeks ago, it was automatically refunded by ebay (I was hospitalised). Maybe it could have been that?

now they are asking me for documents such as ID, proof of address and invoices for my listings

my issue is I do not have invoices for all of my listings. The most expensive items I do, but most of my items I received from a family member despite being brand new and sealed.

Do I tell ebay this and hope they unrestrict my account or just make up the invoices? I read here that they just want to see you do what they ask but I feel like the truth is very reasonable. some people here seem to disagree. Which is the better option?

Welcome to the forum - all the best as you master stealth :thumb:

Providing appropriate invoices look a bit more secure from eb's standpoint rather than saying you received them from a family member...

thank you for your welcome and advice - my issue then is I am not a reseller. I don't have 'suppliers'. Would normal amazon receipts be suitable for this?

I wouldn't rely on Amazon receipts in general since it seems kind of fishy from eb's point of view...a lot depends on what you are selling obviously...but I don't expect you to share the nature of the item - maybe the category at least for better analysis

It's a slim category, but they are videogames originally intended for my sister's nephew. All brand new, and for more than one console. I am not sure how to present them, as I believe it would always look suspicious.

Particularly frustrating as I don't even care about selling these. It's the items I do have invoices for that I'm concerned about selling.

if the AMZN receipts are dated ,why not show them and highlite the dates and point out you have them in possession.
what Ebay does not like is retail arbitrage, you dont have the goods but take customer money and go to AMZN and buy there.
take your own photos instead of u sing stock photos are always better

Try to create your own purchase invoices. Note that, try to make the invoice as complex as possible.

I used to create for myself such invoice, and I passed mc011
