Question Account Suspended - due to linked to another suspended account - ANY HELP APPRECIATED

Hi! I'm a long-time (5yr) Ebayer and have 1100+ feedback, 100%, built up like all of you with hard work and sweat. Well, Ebay suspended my account today due to "link with another suspended account." My first suspension, ever.

They had the grace to give me the name of the other account. Let's say it's *123*. I looked up *123* and it's been suspended, no feedback since 2006, 22 feedback total. I checked my records and don't see any sales to or purchases from *123* which I have never heard of or had any dealings with.

I have 2 other accounts linked to my IP - one has not been used in 2 years, the other has 0 transactions and has not been used at all. I don't really care about those, and they have not been suspended (yet), but I do care about my primary...all that feedback!!!

I dutifully sent in my appeal request. My question is - has this happened to you before? Were you able to resolve it? Should I hang tight or kiss my feedback goodbye? Any advice for me?

I searched a bunch of boards but didn't see much. Any help would be so appreciated.

happens all the time

good luck on your appeal

kiss it all goodbye and start over, feedback doesn't really matter as much as people may think

just wondering if ur credit card details were leaked somehow and used on the suspended account?? might be a possibility as other easy way to ditch ebay accounts are credit cards used previously on suspended accounts

Keep your head up ! I also had to say good bye to 3000+ FB 99.8 % positive. It was awful. I was afraid of beginning with 0 FB again. But after Ebay suspended my 5th account and few days ago, my 8th account. I do not feel sad any more - just wondering sometimes WHY ?

Ebay has too much laws, rules, competition, jealous, revenge. My 8 accounts were suspended - does not mean I am a bad seller. I am a good seller, honest and friendly. That is the reason Why I should keep away from Ebay ! I DO NOT !

With 0 FB, you can make the turnover as same as you have had 1000+. Really ! Believe me ! The more Ebay suspended my account, the more I have learned.
Good Luck

Me too. My account was suspended when it had over 500 positive feedback (100%) in June, this account is 7 years old. I was devastated and as many people, I requested a reinstatement because I thought it was a mistake when they said my account was linked to a suspended one. No Luck. They never care. I followed the instructions from here and made 10 accounts and my sale is even better (due to many accounts I used, 10 of them have more than 20 feedbacks each and it's just as good as an account with 10,000 feedbacks. 8 were suspended in 1 week (after 3 months of selling) and I still have 2 running good. I will be making 1 per day for 1 month and keep screwing up Ebay (I did not pay any penny Ebay fee for those suspended accounts - almost $1000 ) . Who care, they suspend 1, I will make 10 as replacement.

Thanks to all who responded. I'm continuing to research this board as suggested.

The only thing I heard from Ebay "Safety Harbor" is that I would get a response in 72 hours. Some canned email.

For clarification - I do sell items $3 or less. I was dormant in the last 6 months but started listing again recently. Some other threads on this site did say that low-value items can trigger this, but I'm not sure.

I'll continue to post what happens to me. Meanwhile, does anyone who has been suspended for this reason in the past, ever get that suspension lifted?

I did not change IP each time I logged on, just cleared the cookies. My 10 accounts lasted for 3 months (long enough for me :-)). I only change IP (by resetting modem) when I pay Ebay fee ....But be carefully, I made mistake when paying fee for 4 accounts with the same IP and all 4 of them got suspended a few hours later. What I learn here is after paying fee for 1 account (pay minimum) , I reset the Ip , clear cookies.

I do not know how deep that Ebay could look inside our system. Have you ever thought about your computer's name? When Ebay suspended my account, I cleaned and cleared the system.. checked..checked and checked - no words "EBAY" remain, installed new windows, changed computer's name. Sure, Ebay have suspended another 2 accounts from me recently but never from the reason "linked to a suspended account".

Default Ebay Sent Me Forms To Fill Out To Appeal...

I just wanted to update you that Ebay finally, after 5 days, emailed me requesting more information. According to their email, I was guilty of "shill bidding" and was linked to the account that I have no clue about. Based on info on this forum, I guess they can still deny my reinstatement.
Thanks for all the advice thus far.

Looks like a angry customer or a competitor set you good. They probably used your info or did one those I will get you linked to a suspended account trick!

Either way it go your probably not going get your account back considering that you 1. shilled bid and 2. linked to bad account.

But the question is now, did you actually shill bid?

Hi - that's the rough part - I didn't shill bid for anything. I only buy stuff BIN and that's seldom. I also sell on only 1 account. I have 2 other accounts which are dormant, but interestingly enough, they haven't been suspended.

I get a feeling that it's one of my competitors who did it. I had a conflict with another seller a few months back who copied my entire listing. I looked at the account which I was supposed to have "shilled" with, but the last feedback received was 6 months ago and naturally it's also suspended. If that account has been dormant for 6 months, why would I get suspended only now? I've searched all my records and don't see where I sold/bought from this seller. It's infuriating.

One of the posts in this forum regarding getting someone else suspended is really tempting to me right now...Is it wrong for me to post the other account's name?

With over 1000 positive feedback at 100% it's a real killer to have this happen, although from this board it's happened to bigger and better ebayers. I really hope I get the account reinstated, although if it does, I'm going to take the good advice here - leave it alone, set up new selling accounts.
