| ebaywanton | 02-20-2021 12:00 AM | ebay ban wave? Right, so i have read a few threads about ebay possibly knowing that we have multiple accounts on the same device, thus meaning they can track our exact device and mac address, right?
Is this 100% true, or false? If true, then do we need one separate PC for each stealth account? |
| JimmyOvens | 02-20-2021 03:29 AM | Re: ebay ban wave? eBay is collecting all fingerprints from our browsers so you may need separate PCs |
Re: ebay ban wave? Ebay cannot see our MAC address.
Given that those who sell accounts don't have endless PC's and that many of us manage multiple accounts from the same PC, clearly they cant see that info either. My PC is a decade old and handled countless accounts, I have never been linked once.
Use separate users or VMware with some slight variations and you're good to go.
IMO those who claim ebay can see the 'master PC' are either unwilling to admit they've made a mistake in their procedures, selling something or simply scaremongering.
The comment above is an example, they've made a statement without, I suspect, having any idea what their reply actually means so decided say you MIGHT need separate PCs! |

The majority of people turn off images in their emails and from what I know google actually downloads the images to their own servers and then deliver them to the email meaning any tracking beacons in the email is rendered useless. |

| yankee | 02-20-2021 04:24 PM | Re: ebay ban wave? To sum it up..... you herd wrong.
Yes ebay is better at a lot of things but not your MAC address.
Mostly they are tracking sales of problematic items/sellers and reducing the problem by making it hard to sell same or similar items. The process will effect some sellers more than others of course.
LOW low prices, high returns, same catchy titles, keyword manipulation, etc.... if what they are getting better at. If you happen to in a category of concern or a very specific item they deem "bad buying experience" it could feel as if ebay is linking your accounts when in all reality, they don't like the item, category, price or another crappy seller selling the same thing.
ADDITIONAL EDIT: images can be a huge problem now especially if you don't take your own pictures. Stock photos, low resolution photos, overly edited photos in saturated or problematic category/items don't work as easily. The great news is that IF you put in the effort in this area, you could be rewarded well. |

For them, there is hardly any difference.
For the folks who have larger long term business plans... it is not very hard to convert accounts.
The only people having problems are the ones who are selling items ebay doesn't like and crappy sellers. |

1 is more than enough.
Have you read the stealth guide? You just need to follow the instructions from it and you're golden |
| tedsmith1990 | 02-25-2021 11:30 PM | Re: ebay ban wave? I had the same problem since from the end of 2020 and beginning of 2021.
I have tested accounts age from 1-6 months, first listing without problems. But after listing around 10 listings, the account banned within 72 hours.
I usually create the first listing by bid within 3-7 days, the account fine after bid ends or dozens of days more after bids. But can be banned soon after creating more listings.
I use the same laptop for all accounts. Residental IP (mostly every account has own SAME IP), Google portable, only cookies banned max., use hotmail, real mobile number.
Any suggestions? |
