Suspended account and held payouts

I basically already shipped a bunch of items and sold over 9000$ in items. Ebay has held my payouts and suspended me? How am I supposed to get my money back or my items back this is illegal. None of my buyers even opened up cases or anything I just got suspended for trying to sell via paypal to avoid their **** fees.

I would imagine they have the same policy as Paypal and Amazon. They'll hold your funds for 3-6 months in case any cases or chargebacks come up once you abandon your account, then eventually they'll release your money to you.

I can understand why ebay would suspend you, it's now a waiting game, maybe 3-6 months as the poster above said, before paypal releases your funds. That's assuming what you were selling didn't fall foul of their AUP in which case you might be told you're not getting any of it.

What is AUP?

That makes no sense. They have my SSN and bank account already. They don't allow me to close my account. Why do they need to hold for 3-6 months when they have all the info on me to ruin my credit.

Re: Suspended account and held payouts

It's standard practice on all ecommerce platforms and I think the credit card networks force them to do it. A lot of people would run off with the money, never log back into their account after it's suspended, and let eBay clean up their mess if/when customers start complaining. Credit card companies say customers can return their order for up to 6 months so your money is held that long. It's that simple.

It doesn't sound like he was using Paypal.

From the opening post. "I just got suspended for trying to sell via paypal to avoid their **** fees."

I assumed he was advertising on ebay and then selling direct via paypal to avoid ebay fees hence the suspension.

I use both as MP has lower fees for ebay sales but using paypal invoice will get rid of 10% final value fee lol. But mostly talking about my held payments on MP but what is AUP? Also found out i wasn't banned for paypal invoicing but because i was underage 10 years ago lol

Since you're really new to the game, get used to this kind of BS. You're about 10 years behind at least compared to most of us in the forum.

So toughen up that mentality so it doesn't affect you too much.

Now is your chance to learn from us what to do , how to do it and what to expect.

Re: Suspended account and held payouts

so you find a way to list items on Ebay but avoid paying Ebay FVF ,buyers paid you via paypal ,Ebay found out and suspended you,it is called fee avoidance.
But Ebay has no right to withhold your Paypal fund as it is not sold on eBAY.
Are you sure it is Paypal not Ebay which withheld your fund,?due to what you sold?
What did you sell?

Re: Suspended account and held payouts

I just reread what you said, you were selling on Ebay and accepting MP pAYMENTS as well, and Ebay suspended you for underage?

So your Paypal account is fine, but not your Ebay account?
DOes Paypal know you are underage?
