Any Opinions on Ebay Stores?

Thought I might try to throw in some extra inventory to an ebay store while they're running a thing, but am wondering if this is a wise move? If you open a store or list a lot of auctions suddenly during a promotion, are you at risk of going under the Ebay Eye and possible account intervention? I've been running all the safeguards I can possibly think of, and steering clear of Turbo Lister and Auctiva until someone can say whether or not they're safe to use (see other thread), but if I suddenly start selling with an active store for a month--am I risking a lot? Anyone have experiences... good/bad regarding this? And will creating a store require you to link an account or some other such annoying nonsense? Many thanks

I used to always open eBay stores with little to no problems. Just take your time opening one, open a small or medium one and don't list more then 100 new auctions a day and you'll be okay. I used turbolister as well, as you know.

if ur a major seller, get turbo lister, just make sure your ip is different when u go on it. Then the one before you got banned on.

Under a promotion wouldnt matter. You just wanna sell it thats all. I know theres no linking with paypal and your store. Auctiva might link you tho if you use your old one. But make sure its all different u should be fine listing less then a 100 a day.(kinda alot to me lol)

I wouldn't call myself a big time seller, but for the store promotion I do plan on a little more than average. Take advantage of ebay for a change instead of the other way around. ;)

So we're pretty much in agreement that as long as you have a different IP, you can use turbo lister without getting linked? What about the old user names on my new turbo lister? I want to get them out of there. Have done some research and I know how to export the files to my old version of turbo, but what do I do with the pre-existing copies on the new turbo? Will I be safe to delete them at that point? I've never tried so not even sure you can. Do I even have to worry about that as long as I don't open the suspended user names while I'm online?

As for Auctiva, with their "tokens" I'm betting they would work on the same principle--the token logs your IP address. But would it also log your particular computer as well? So that anytime you actually use that computer under ANY user name, it would be logged with ebay once you send over your auctions from Auctiva? That parts a lot more cloudy.

Good to have you back Aspkin :D
