If I switch SSN on my husbands Ebay account to mine....
Im in a pickle. About 7 years ago my ebay account was indefinitely suspended. So I started using my husbands ebay account. I havent had an issues with everything under his name. But we are getting a divorce and I now have to put the ebay account into my name. Granted I have a different last name now, but in order to change ownership Ill have to update the SSN on the business account to mine and attach my bank account for managed payments. Im not sure if ebay will flag me and suspend the account or not. I spent the last 7 years building up the account and dont want to lose another account. I tried to call ebay to see if I could get my old ebay reinstated but they said no. I have seen online where others have got around their indefinite suspensions, and even services to help get reinstated. I would pay someone to reinstate my account if I could find someone with a legit business (and not a scam) just for peace of mind. Ive always known that my husbands account could at any time get suspended. Is it risky for me to change the name and social on his account and attach my bank account??? |

does his Ebay account really have his SSN?or just Paypal has it? |

Opening a new account is not ideal in my situation. Ive had a good thing going with the current account for 7 years and would like to keep it going if AT ALL possible :) And yes it really does have his social on the ebay account itself, as it is a business account. But I can change the SSN and account info. |

then why dont you try it,change everything to you-ssn,addresses,there are multiple addresses for ship to,ship from,return,ebay mail etc.
whose Paypal account were you using in those 7 years. |

I was using husbands paypal, but now its managed payments..... The only thing is if I try and it gets suspended, I wonder if that might affect my family’s accounts whom Im living with 😣 I need to find an ebay expert!!! |

| I would ditch the Ebay account and start all over,it is not your EBay account and Paypal account,and you are divorcing your husband.
Have you filed your 2020 income tax?
IRS audit can go back 7 years ,thats why Paypal saves 7 years of our activities. |

Are you on MP already?
If not, when you switch to MP, change all the details to yours. It is not a problem at all.
If it is on paypal still, make a new paypal would be the best option under the business details. Paypal and ebay allow this. Keep in mind, you will end up on MP soon no matter what though.
Forget anything agent says above or below. Businesses get sold everyday. It is not a big deal to change details IF and when you can. |

You have been using your husband Ebay and Paypal account and now you have divorced your husband.
Get a fresh start,create your own ebay account with a MP account,link it to a new bank account with your name only.
Preferably with a bank which you and your hubby never have account there.
It is up to you.
Does Ebay buyers really care about you nursing your husband 7 years account?
