Just got MC999 from eBay on 100% legit Managed Payments Account
 

Well I just got a horrific email saying that my ebay account has been MC999. It says your ebay account has been suspended because recent account activity has raised security concerns? Blah Blah Blah Blah. Unfortunately, you wont be able to use ebay in any way. That includes using another existing account (which I don't have) or registering a new account.

I seriously have no idea what is going on. I created this account probably two months ago, 100% legit with my social security number, real name, real date of birth, phone number ext. Signed up for Managed Payments from Day 1.

I was selling books, vinyl records, and antique halloween items. Everything was fine? Had done maybe $1000 in sales? Did the payout weekly as per their schedule.

I have only ever had one case opened and that was saying that an item wasn't received, the tracking showed delivered and she said that it still wasn't there because she lived in a community apartment complex someone may have stolen it.

I seriously have no idea what to do. I had probably $400+ in pending payouts they just stole as well. When I login, it just says your account has been suspended. The only thing I tried to do was eBay live chat and it keeps saying "an agent isn't available at this time"

Literally, I have no clue what caused this. Is there a way to CALL eBay and ask them what happened? What flagged me? I wasn't selling VERO, ⊗⊗⊗⊗ items, anything of the sort. I literally always shipped the morning after it sold and uploaded tracking?

This is extremely frustrating because I created this account to go 100% legit, and freaking 8 weeks later I am permanently suspended?

Is there any way to get this unsuspended? Or at least talk with someone about WHY? I don't have anything to hide. I'm extremely upset about all of this that they just did this and haven't even given me any information.

I have been on eBay chat for the past 30 minutes with 3 different people, and when I ask what happened all I get it is this!

I seriously have NO IDEA

I wasn't selling high risk items? I wasn't not shipping anything? I was selling books and old Halloween antiques

I went through the full verification process to make sure everything was legitimate?

Not only that, but they stole $800+ from me that was “pending”. I’m absolutely furious right now.

You were most likely suspended by their bs automatic bot. It is possible to get reinstated but requires a lot of determination from your part. You should try calling them if you can and hopefully get someone that is understanding and will do what they can to help you.

you misunderstand the logic , they suspended new accounts randomly and don't care about how genuine your docs are

so you need to call in instead of writing

any by the way it is also better if you deal on the phone with an actual american support staff

although this may sound racist to some , it is better not to try to get reinstated by the third world folk , presumably from the philippines

from my experience they refuse to reinstate in nearly 100% of cases and certainly in all cases if you encounter them on live chat

I don’t think so I think they just flagged it some of my items? Like for example I had listed a Michael Myers mask, and I listed a picture from the movie for reference and they did send me a warning saying it was copywrite. So I didn’t do it again. However I wouldn’t think that would be warranted banning me completely????

They make it really hard to call in these days. It seems eBay does not want to do business over the phone anymore because the last 2 years have given them an excuse to cut out that expense.

If you can get there in your account you'll have to go to seller hub, then click "seller help" in the top right corner. You'll have to go through a few pages trying to direct your to help articles. If you scroll all the way to the bottom of the page there should be a "contact us" link. Click that, go through a few more help articles, then they should give you their phone #.

I opened a new account with my cousin reel info, make some purchases then list my first without risk item, after first listing they send e-mail that your account was suspended due to high risk bla blaa.

So I try to contact them, first agent say this is our last decision and ended the chat. I said I still need help and the new guy share a link with me and requested upload your id and bank statement. So I did it, after upload he asked to me a few question.. I respond then he said it is OK we re activated your account so you can continue to sell or buy.

After a few days, I listed another low risk item again with auction 7 days. After listing end they again suspend my account, I try to contact again via chat and they say it is permanently decision..

"Your eBay account has been permanently suspended because we noticed activity that we believe is a risk to our community.

This means the following:
- You can’t buy or sell on eBay any longer. Any other accounts that you own or that are associated with this account have also been suspended.
- Outstanding selling fees are due immediately, and any amounts that you haven’t previously disputed will be charged to the payment method we have on file. "

I am using my mobile phone IP and keep IP record, all other things same with stealth new user new browser safe resident IP new mobile phone not voip

I guess eBay updated the bot algorithm, now bots just killing lots new accounts even agent re activated account again..

I opened lots of accounts before over 200, but didn't live these problems before. did opening new account change with MP?

This was a bot suspension.
In such cases theres no appeal - at least not through the customer service reps. Those reps do NOT know the reason for suspension and have no authority to reverse it. This id one by design as they do not want the parameters employed by the bot to be widely known.
Im afraid you have no recourse here. You can try to go afetr your money using a lawyer but thats about it.

the first suspension is bot , the second one is manual review

it is now business as usual on ebay which is why you need to make very many accounts. some will get permanent suspension after first listing , others after second listing and others will not be suspended or will be suspended only after first listing

anyways , these suspensions are random and the ebay reps indeed don't know the criteria , they can just reinstate after the initial suspension

the good news is however that your personal details are not blacklisted after a random suspension on a new account

so you can try using the same details again and again. I know some people who had success with this

the most likely reason is that ebay know that new accounts are suspended for dubious reasons or no reason at all so you can apply again

Crazy question, with regard to the original poster been suspended, I notice you said you had been selling Halloween items, I am wondering if the Halloween items got you suspended, where the Halloween items, perhaps knife / weapon related type Halloween items or perhaps the wording of the title rattled the bots?

My 2 accounts got MC999 this week after 2-3 sales. It is frustrating for new accounts now
