Funds Held MC011 Warning (5 Day Hold) - $1200 Cap - Digital Sales
 

Just a warning to anyone using stealth accounts selling digital items that you don't input any tracking.

I believe the cap for this type of activity is $1200.00 if you're not supplying tracking numbers.

Had 2 accounts get a 5 Day fund hold in the last week,

First account is being reviewed for tracking numbers, I explained I sell digital items and sent screenshots of my feedback as insisted by an eBay rep with the link they sent me to upload docs.

Second account was hit earlier with 5 day fund hold, I am still selling digital goods because I believe in the long run even a 60 day fund hold is fine with me, as long as I get them.

Legit accounts, legit info.

I may go stealth after this if I get nuked.

I was suspended, Rep told me funds will be held 1-3 months. Will update if I get the funds which most likely will be 60 days.

Better read up on it... From all indications those funds are NEVER released unless the acct is reinstated.

I'm guessing it wasnt economical to send post cards to generate tracking numbers

What are you talking about? I was suspended once before in August and the funds were released 2 months later.

They have no right/entitlement to keep the money I earned.

Previously "Suspended" this year with funds being released 60 days. Quit spreading false information.

if the account is suspended or restricted for reasons other than identification problems the funds will be released in most cases

I would not bet though that very large amounts would be released automatically so that showing a release of 70 bucks does not really mean anything

Yeah. They didn't ask for any identify stuff, I used same info on all my accounts. And already verified my identity to one of my previous accounts that was suspended.

Had over 1000 feedback, 4100 sales, no problems with my sales.

All were between $5 - $20 sales.

To me digital crap is not worth it - never have tried it as it seems to be an automatic red flag to ebay

From my experience, eBay will favor some sellers for digital stuff. I had multiple VERO complaints, atleast 12. Where I would be restricted for 3 days a few times, then the rest were 7 days.

Ebay is sketchy themselves, not to mention the fees are ridiculous! 15% - 17%.

Stop being so defensive. Only because you got lucky once or twice it doesn't mean that you'll keep getting lucky.

What he's telling you based on his experience and what he saw from posts over the years is what he was sharing with you.

I'm assuming you want all of us to share our experiences with you right?

@SaiJin yeah definitely. I've asked 3 different reps and was told the same info on release date. Will update this thread around new years hopefully on the final payout situation.

Small update - After my first account was suspended, my second account had funds released after I had gotten 5 day fund review. Not suspended on main ebay account, but I just did get a vero strike & 7 day restriction last night. :/

Happy to get some funds sent to me.. over $2k.

I haven't read the details in MP, but I'm not sure how they can get away with not releasing funds. I mean, Etsy holds the funds for about a year but still give them back eventually. Etsy uses Ayden also.

Be careful on that 7 days sit in the corner strike. Next is either a month or a permanent. If the account is of value, I'd let it cool down for at least 3 months.

I'm using a bunch of different e-commerce platforms to see which are best. eBay has most users it seems, facebook has a lot of people that are looking for "deals" so marketing is a big must have on there. Have you heard of Bonanza?

I started a booth on Bananza, what sucks is that it doesn't get the traffic eBay or Facebook does, but it's how eBay used to be.

Anyways I like the site and would recommend it to anyone on here.
