Partnership account suspended because personal was hit with MC101
 

Hello Everyone,

I had a partnership account on Ebay which has been successful for 2 years. Long story short, my personal account got hit with MC101 and both accounts are a toast even though I provided them my supplier' invoices. I was using both accounts on the same computer with no VPN.

I spoke to my neighbor across the street and, he is allowing us to get a new EIN using his address. New EIN, fresh VPN, new address, new phone #, new bank account; none is an issue. Only issue will be our personal names while signing up.

On the other hand, I can turn my mom's personal Ebay account "which has a history of buying stuff" and turn it into a business account using a VPN and attaching our EIN? Issue with this is that she lives with me even though her account hasn't been linked, and if they ever ask for business document, her name will be nowhere near those documents.

We're not sure which way to go. I would appreciate for any advice.

It’s better to use your mom’s account since it’s more established. Meanwhile register a new account so when you need another one, you have an aged one ready to use.

Add your mum into the business so she's a company owner.

In a similar situation. How do you resolve the 1099 when issued? Won't it be in your Mom's name with your EIN?

Wait, why do you need your neighbor's when you can just make your own EIN?

Also if you are absolutely confident of your knowledge and skill set with a stealth account then sure you can start with your mum's ACC.

If not you risk getting her's suspended too.

What type of business should we sign up (LLC or S corp)? Do we need personal info if we create business account?
